My word Echo, that pencil work. Teach me, teach meeee

Haha, I'm supposed to be working already. I'm so messed up from my haphazard travelling. I should really be more organized. It saves headaches, really.

@Mahlua Thanks XD Well, they were drawn over a period of time. I find I've been getting a little faster at it. Inking really expedites the process.

@BobbyJoeX Aww I'm glad they can cheer you up a little XD

@Lego I don't know how I'm so------rry! X_X It's a matter of using the pencil a lot, I guess. Becoming friends with it? ^^;

Ouch. Hang in there XD I have to go out shoveling snow myself right now...

Update --

I drew a similar themed drawing last year. This is a sort of continuation with the same character....?
The darkness was added in digitally.

Hmmm, that unbuckled belt begs some questions, yeah? Or maybe it's just me, ahaha. Either way, I wish I had more motivation to draw, but I do also want to finish some parts of that fic I've been working on, that is, Ginger and Bergamot. It's weird to want to write when you have a muse to draw!
Haha signature go brr.

@Mahlua Haha, hush hush. I was following the character reference for that one.  :sure:
Ahh, I've seen a little of that fanfic. I like how your writing is easy to process. c:
I've been trying to do both drawing and writing...too much time on my hands, I guess?  :noidea:

Update --

I wish I was a little more active here again. Seen some neat stuff going on.
Meanwhile I've been lurking... and drawing when I can.

Same. Always nice to see your stuff around. I like the background stones on that last bit. I am starting to see a little development in the three dimensional form taking up space on a two dimensional page. The place I see it most in your art is the faces, which sometimes have this awkward amount of white space that doesn't quite fit for the full geometric shape, but it's starting to clear up a little.

Ohhh, I see what you mean. That's something I'm aiming for. Actually when I inked drawings, the 2D was really apparent. Even though it's slightly smudgier, doing the whole picture in pencil seems to give it a better look.

Very nice works you show us Echo :D And the lined shadings are crazy accurate! The perspective on the last one is a bit odd at the wall the character is leaning on, but the lovely texture of the stone makes up for that. Keep it up!

Wow, you're still drawing? That's really amazing!

Compared to last time, you work looks like it has improved ten-fold!

The eyes look so much more life-like, shading is superb, I can really tell that you have not been idle since I was last here. (And omg, that hair looks like something straight out of a professional's own work!)

I know it's been a while, but what's new? :)
Am I here?

Oh gawd the naming again hahaha. Auth, Arc and Keltalyn are pretty cool characters. I already saw the horse on DA, and I think the sketch you finished, but it's always great to see. Oh man the backgrounds are amazing.

Love your pencil work Echo. Keep it up!

@Gabryel Thanks! ^^ I'll work more on that!

@Watcher Hoi! Long time no see! Yeah, I'm surprised I'm still drawing too, haha.

Thank you very much ;w; It's reassuring to hear that. Hair is usually the trickiest part aside from proper body proportions, but I find using references really helps, so I've been using them a lot lately. XD

I had to take a break from serious drawing when I started working. After I settled into the job routine, I started back up on the art (stress relievers, and for when you know you should be doing something else but you want to draw XD ). What's new with you?

@Lego Thanks! Auth has the oddest origin. I made the character for a story and didn't want to spend too much time naming him, so I used the word closest to me at the time - the "auth" from "authentic". His personality is questionable though. XD

I have a decent (but tough) job, going to college, and taking serious english/writing classes. So it seems we are both doing well. :)

I have yet to start writing prose like I did before, but I'm still serious about writing anything.

I somehow remembered these forums existed lol. >.<
Am I here?

That sounds stable XD

Yeah, I don't find it easy to find time or inspiration to write amidst a lot of other activities. I like to write when I feel I'm free.

Lol. Before you know it, the forums will have gone a makeover XD

Update--

Feels like I haven't done anything in forever.... Oh wait, I haven't O:
Been back and forth doing work and hobby stuff. I have a new story I may post on the forums.

But anyway, here is some new art I've been working on the past couple of months.

Cheers....!

New Character 1
I created this guy on a whim. He's supposed to be a vampire.
i've dubbed him "Vampire of the Orange Moon".
But you can call him Neon. ;p

New Character 2
This is Amie, part of a new story I'm making~

Eldarya Fanart

Art Trade

And a big personal project I finished recently.
Spoiler
This is my character, Nanik Aeya, who some of you may know from Crow's MR Project, who is being faced with a Shadow being.

This is the lineart version (if anyone's interested):

Amie is adorable. Also, excellent work on the inking, as usual. You have such a way with hatching...

Thanks Mahlua. XD
Actually, it's all done in pencil, I just darken it a little on the computer so that it's easier to see. :'D
