Rushing the dust off this file momentarily. I feel I haven't been doing enough of these...
Still have anatomical problems plus hands with shading to a minimum. Reverting back to square one?  :(

So this is a drastic makeover of some characters I drew 4 or so years ago for a made-up magazine a friend and I used to work on. In fact, they may not be the same characters anymore and looking back, the story they were in was rather childish.

But I remember how much fun I had in any old picture. Somehow it doesn't seem to be nowadays.

I really really like your art ^^ though the girl on the right. Her arm there is none o.o and i ended up staring it it for far too long contemplating whether or not she only has one arm. But I don't know anything about art so ^^ either way good work. The shirt on the same girl to the right stood out to me the most out of everything in the image and after that I liked the way you did the hair ^^

your art is good. but concentrate on how the clothes attach itself on the body. the ends of that top the girl on the right is wearing are unnaturally apart near the bottom and their really closely attached near the top.
Stop playing victim....you know what you did.

I would take a look at face perspectives, since the eyes are usually non indicative of the angle you are trying to convey. Sometimes the nose and mouth are out of the facial center line, so pay close attention to that and lay out appropriate guidelines if it helps you to solve the problem. The problem with these mistakes is that it will make your faces look flat and will be hard to relate with, and in a style such as manga/anime that could become troublesome for you as the artist.

@Lego Thanks. I hope I did improve.

@archangel I've more to come hopefully soon. ;)

@emocookie    Aha, you're right there are no arms  It's my mistake  :D Hm, her shirt is three layers of clothing, actually, haha. A short-sleeve turtle neck, a vest, and a...nother vest? Impractical, but fun to draw. Thanks.

@Lorenx Thanks for the pointer. It does look unnatural.

@Demonfyre Hard to relate with huh? I never considered that, trying to focus more on eye position and style.

Kay, one month's wait. Pretty soon.

The boy and girl are re-draws from older drawings done last year.

Randou and his sister Sulara Hakara. With shady figure EsAru.
Hands and pants...I really need good references for.

Shocking to see how you improve with every post >..> At this point your art is definately better than SnK's artist. The lines look pro, I can tell those characters are siblings! and the designs are pretty interesting (still on the fence on the skirt/hem, but it's a nice look when you get used to it.)

Nice work!

Thanks!

Well, I'm gonna give AnimeDoodler credit here. I was looking at the MR youtube channel. She inspired me XD.

The fence? You mean the coloured in ridge on the clothing fringes? I really like that kind of design. I wished my clothes had it.

In case of interest, these are the old drawings.

Wow... Your art is great! These are your original characters? They're great! I tend to have a really hard time with my OCs... I really like your style too... And I also keep seeing improvement through every drawing you've posted! Keep up the good work! :3

I never watched Doodler's vids. Maybe I will.

Like these older drawings too. You're faces have a lot of personality even with the same expressions. Nice

Thanks Churo! Yes I only draw original characters. I can't remember any other faces off the top of my head.

I never watched Doodler's vids. Maybe I will.

You've never watched A.D'S vids?! Eh well. She's funny, hehe.

I look at all the faces and they all have almost the same expressions.

Now for another make over!

Old one:

New redraw!
Spoiler

Which I have failed again in hand presence.
Anyway.

Haha, were you deliberately hiding the hands or it just sort of happened?

Your redraws look pretty neat.
