Wow has it really been 2.5 years since I last took on this challenge?
Well after making the suggestion to Slam I felt a massive guilt over not having my own daily minimum sketch set in stone, and figured no better time than the present to revive that habit.
So I'm aiming for a daily sketch about this level. No targets for composition or uniqueness, just casually drawing a cute girl however I want Takes around 15-20 minutes so really, that should be achievable every day no exceptions.
Another minor advantage is that it's good for casual portfolio building in that I get a lot of medium level sketches. A lot of these sketches are going to look quite similar, I can't lie. But this project is only for maintaining the minimum daily output. The moment it gains any more importance than that, is the moment it's likely to fail.

So here we go, day 1:



I can't remember my top streak but I'm sure I made it past a year. I'll have to delve into the archives and find it to have a target to beat.

Oooooo! Nice to see you picking up on this again! Art takes patience and practice. Everyone has 1000 hours to spare. You spend more time making someone else rich with your job than you do making yourself rich  Perhaps that'll help put things into perspective and bucket some time to work on that passion you have

I've got fairly refined methods for making clean artwork, but generally the more in my comfort zone I am, the easier it is. And these are 100% in my comfort zone XD

Wow! All that in just half an hour!? Why, at that rate you could've had your own manga by now! 

I've had quite a handful of experience working with artists, so from that experience, it takes quite a few days to get things like posture, anatomy, details, all worked out and polished. Though I suppose when you're not having to draw for someone but yourself, the idea comes much faster 

One thing I definitely would love to see is more dynamic poses! I find it's a common trope with artists that they learn anatomy first, but tend to neglect their poses and perspectives. This makes for some very stiff-looking people since they're too focused on getting bones and muscles right instead of asking themselves if those bones and muscles make sense in the first place.

Just be aware of burnout and pace yourself accordingly. 365 days of art means 365 days of planning what to draw. I find it much more doable to slow down and give yourself time to breathe and think  52 weeks personally is more tolerable.
