now it got me thinking, how did i end up with richard as richard's name in the first place?

well im doing drawing and some of them turn out good, but i cant be bothered to:
1)find my scanner
2)plug it in
3)put my picture in the scanner
4)scan it
5)upload it and give it a title
6)post it
i think ill upload batches when i can be bothered but for now i wont be adding any more stuff. i might try using my graphics tablet but it will take me a while to get used to it again :S
i wonder how manga is actually done now, is it all done by hand and scanned in at the end, or is more done on computers now...?

In Japan it's mostly done traditionally, there's just a few mangaka that uses computers for the rasters and coloured pages. But the most current way of making mangas is inking and for colours, using alcohol markers (like copics)

its been a year but i am finally back, here are some pictures that i have been drawing over the last year. any numbers over the picture is how long it took in minutes roughly if i happened to notice. i only have about 20 pages that were worth uploading, so here they are.
I cant wait to hear what you like/dont like/what i could improve/tips etc
oh on my laptop i had to tilt the screen to see the fainter drawings, sorry if you have to do the same im not good with fixing that kind of stuff, or it could just be my laptop :P

i hate it when someone who cant draw looks at your work and says wow thats amazing, and u look at it and its totally rubbish, makes me a bit depressed as i get it a lot at college when i draw manga in the lunch breaks.
PS should i not have uploaded them all together like this? like posted them in bits? or is it ok?

It's fine with how you posted them.

Good drawings you have here. You should study some realistic proportions for humans so you'll be better at manipulating them. Facial proportions/under-structures should be included study as well. You won't lose the ability to draw in a manga style that you have. In fact, studying realistic proportions will only improve your stylized drawings. Also, some drawings for form would be a good idea, as your drawings will become more voluminous from it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHefdroQdDo&feature=context-gfa Getting better at forms will allow you to crank out drawings much, much faster from your imagination. Just be conscious of what forms are present in a drawing.
