One of my more complex linearts. really want to have my own characters as interesting and detailed but I almost never draw with a fantasy setting despite it being my favourite genre. I'm probably nervous to draw it exactly because it is my favourite genre.

Ahaha, as I've been saying for ages, fanart really is a great way to practice skills that you want to hone. It seems like that's finally working out for you, Suups. I'm glad.

It's a good way to practice getting details on characters without thinking of them for yourself. I'm definitely trying to have a good proportion of fan-art in my normal sketches now but it's hard to remember what the characters look like (as much as I do use references and screenshots, really I want to memorize it all XD)

edit with a second iteration of Yui. I figured it was best to fix the details before I forgot everything.
spent twice the time on each sketch but not much of an improvement visible, hmmm.

Man those are great suuper. With such a unique character design you can draw her posing about convincingly in space. Damn those are actually enough frames for an animation. You could do something interesting with your output and skill level dude.

I have got animation lined up but I'm saving that for when I level up even more in output and in accuracy. It takes way too much time and there's no point trying it out now when I can't even draw a single frame to my liking XD

one of my recently cleaned arts was a fan art.
what I'm learning about how fan art works with my wip methods - you really gotta finalize the drawing sooner rather than later, as you start to forget details about the characters and they start not looking like who they're meant to.

yeah I'm hoping to add at least 100 or so of my favourite characters into memory, to draw them in their original art style, as well as get their costume and details 100%
so much fan art to draw, I've been planning shots since I started watching anime.

Damn that'd be so useful to be honest. If I had all of my favourite characters commited to memory I could even use them as reference to quickly draw up characters while working on my comics

well having anything memorized would be useful to be honest but yeah. I think hands would be useful to have some well proportioned poses memorized.
