Nice stuff Lego! I kinda like the little noses over the no noses. Would definitely like to see these expand from single panel to multi-panel comics. Work out your short concept humor muscles!

If you want some tips: Long coat, tone down that collar. It's freaking nuts.

Old habits die hard! I immediately drew Lego and Coryn instead of any new Raiders. Also I had this epic idea of making a scene in the MR Pub where Cory and Hasith walk in and it's fun.

I really need to learn to start small, because this was quite stressful.

However, I'm happy that I sat down and tried to panel things. I'm still deciding what to use between an opacity pressure brush or just a general low opacity brush (blurry lines vs clear ones.)

I'm going to go 4koma at most, or just singular panels and hopefully churn out enough comics to get into the groove of drawing Raiders




I think Vio was working on how the Pub interior looks like? Would like to check that out again haha

It's definitely an interesting question (and I do certainly have thoughts, but I'm not drunk enough by half (or at all) to get into that rambling conversation, lol).

What the pub looks like is certainly an interesting question. I'll say that what Vio drew (or what you've drawn here) doesn't really sync up with my own ideas. One of these days I'll have to come up with some plans.

absolutely lovely. it's great to see the raiders in a more casual settings since they are always normaly in battles XD

I wouldnt be surprised if the pub was a mash of different styles to be honest, like different parts were built by different people, or it got damaged and rebuilt etc XD

If you mean just the panelling and getting stuff right then I understand you on the stress front.
My first manga will most likely avoid backgrounds to a huge degree, and only draw charctaers from the waist up permanently. Very much like Minami-ke, which is pretty much my idea of how my first manga should look.

As for brush use, I think, as with many things, that either will probably work, if you give it enough time to learn how to make it work. Sorry for the cryptic answer, but that's pretty much why there are so many artists styles out there. It's probably a good idea to give each brush a good turn of maybe several pages or illustrations each, to make a decision based on more experience.

Just going through Hero Coat members. Gotta get used to drawing some of these raiders when I eventually come up to my abandoned comic projects for them.


P.S I'll draw non-hero members too but these are the ones I have a better chance of getting used to working with haha

Haha I'd totally forgotten about the Hero coats! XD Cool stuff Lego. Love how you can tel some of the personality of each at a glance. Also, I think I'm going to change my design a bit. It's been a while.

I nearly have my character description done but I don't have a hero coat design yet. I must do that soon.

@Echo Yesss do eeet. Raiders are notoriously hard to get right. I like the crazier designs ala Nair or TOF. And forget about the females because I suck at drawing those XD Haaalp
