man if I wasn't doing my own stuff I would feel totally left in the dust lately, you've practically done a whole set of 100 every day for the last couple of weeks now.
truly epic output.

working on a simpler form of the car, such as the outline, is a good way to reduce the workload for learning and take the object step-by-step. outlines are also very useful for thumbnail sketching the simple forms of objects, so it'll be useful in one way or another.

I finally figured out one particular curve I needed to draw the car from this perspective.
sometimes it be like that.
I've had similar breakthroughs with faces/body, I suddenly notice an exact curve or angle that I never noticed previously and instantly I can draw better from that angle, forever.

very excited at my productivity right now.
And so you should be :P

Cheers Suuper. And I you gotta love those breakthroughs indeed haha

Yeah so straight lines, curves and circles will have to be a thing, because my brain is able to see stuff through the silhouettes I make but my line discipline is just getting in the way. I can still draw cars given layers and line tools, but I'll have to do annoying line and circle regimens I'm honestly not looking forward to. A well. I'll add it to the wheel then tackle cars again. For now next up is mannequins.

144/1000 Mannequins - To be honest figures at this point. I need to get this out of the way so I'll just try my best to use as much joints and connection points as possible rather than reference my mannequin exclusively. I'll try to add 3d shapes as much as possible (especially cylinders and cubes) but I shalt absolutely cheat and just draw stick figures haha.

epic stuff, some really cool poses in there.
and you're totally dishing it out these days!!

I think the 1000 figure drawing regime was the game changer for me in terms of bulk work and quality control. Figures are super useful in manga so it's always going to be beneficial work.

Quality control is still an issue for me, but yeah regimens really do round up nicely after the long rush. Plus it really develops some mental callouses in your head and pushes you to really toe that line between 'I like drawing as a hobby' and 'I really like drawing and want to get better' haha. I'm still only about the numbers themselves but would like to get into the quality aspect of things at a point.

And cheers suuper

Pretty much done with this regimen and not sure if I immediately want to stack on the other stuff or focus on my comics and stuff. Cars will definitely be revisited though, and I'm mulling over the idea of a thumbnail/backround thing because backgrounds is definitely a thing I want to tackle at a point haha.

1000/1000 Figures

With that my regimen batches are all done. I'm thinking I'll take a break to work on my projects now. Been a wild rush but I'm glad I got stuff done.

congratulations Lego!

Especially good looking practice with this last 1000 figures. The block style seems to really work well for you in terms of proportions, dynamism and perspective.

How do you feel?

Yeah working with 3d shapes is doing me some favours at least.

Not satisfied as I'd like to be to be honest. With every new milestone I see the ocean of how much more I have to put in work for and it's just ugh to be honest. The good thing about regimens though is that I don't necessarily need to be motivated to do them so that's a plus.

I suspected a long break again so I'm starting 1,000 cars for now until I have a definitive plan on what I want to do next.
