It's pretty interesting that you would mention a naginata. It was the premiere weapon of choice for the battlefield for samurai. Blunt weapons hurt more.
Thats why the rise in blunt tiped arrows in professional Bow and arrow hunters began. Killed more effectively.

i still prefer my fantasy unbent katana. or katanas rather. really i also want teh combined version in real life...hmmm...i wonder if it's possible

I was thinking of letting my friend's dad make a sword for me. He is a smith, and I knew from my friend that he could do it, only he was very busy. Still thinking of doing that one day.
