I've recently checked this out. I love it o.o; I was immediatly hooked and i went from chapter 1 to 130 somethin in 3 days. Its amazing and cool and to me, its the funniest manga i've ever read. You should check it out too :D Its in the top 10 of Shounen Jump. Its Action, Comedy, Adventure, and some other stuff i didnt pay attention to. So funny :D

I was told that the overall plot and character designs were pretty much One Piece. I wouldn't know because I never really got into either series.

One Piece = look for treasure...
Fairy Tail = about a mage guild. XD

Not similar at all. Check it out, and dont even think about One Piece >3> Its really nice. Its one of my favorites now.

LOL.. a lot of people i know thought that one piece and fairytale were both made by the same mangaka because the style of drawing looks similar but they aint.. lol.. oda is gonna wait till one piece has finished before he makes another manga and its most likely gonna be a mecha manga.. apparently he's alway wanted to make a mecha manga... lol

btw fairytail is written by the same person who wrote rave master so shouldn't the story line be similar between the 2??? :D

there is nt really a story line...each character jus thas their own goals while the manga narrates their dail lives in the guild ^^

and Im surprised people arent comparing this more to Rave MAster...as it was made by the same creator T-.-

I find this manga too similar to One Piece. The art is nearly the same and the story has some common points. Heroes traveling and discover themselves, developing friendships and powers...not original.

its not where you're going that counts its how you get their.. its all about the journey when it comes to these type of stories... they might not be completely original but there are things in both this and one piece which make them both stand out from the crowd... now i havent read fairy tail but i hear it good... so when i get the time i might look it up
