Hi, I've been writing and drawing my own manga/graphic novel for a while now. I've started a Patreon where I will continue to upload chapters as I finish them. My goal is to produce 1 every two weeks. This first chapter is available to view here. All feedback is welcome.

Synopsis:

Set during a wave of industrial revolution, humans are reliant on robots for everything, and they are treated as nothing more than appliances. It is believed that robots are incapable of expressing emotions, independent thought or freewill. That is until one day, when a lowly Maintenancebot called Bolt decides to rebel against the humans after a traumatic experience awakens his consciousness. After becoming a wanted criminal, Bolt goes on a journey to gather up like-minded robots and dismantle the fabric of human society.

Hello J.J.Watts,

I have to say that I really like these types of stories, because it gives you a lot to work with both in terms of the physical and emotional questions.  Questions of how machines would develop themselves outside of human influence, as humans tend to tailor a lot of our creations towards our convenience more than for just sheer efficiency.

It also allows for a lot of exploration as to what makes humans, human.  We tend to make a lot of machines in shapes or forms that are either similar in shape to things we know or see, like something bi- or quadrupedal, or very simple shapes, like boxes or cubes.  Does making something that looks human and can simulate human responses make us human, or is it something else?  A lot of these interesting questions are very fun to ponder and see people takes on these deep and ideological debates.

I hope you have fun writing your series, and look forward to the results.

Oh I remember reading this ages ago, you're still doing it!
Great stuff.
The trailer is pretty epic, music and animation really make the characters come to life.
Just noticed back in 2015 you wrote 50+ chapters! looking forward to seeing them come to life in the comics.
Did you want to plan ahead a lot before drawing it, or that's just how it turned out?
I could have sworn I commented on this comic somewhere but I can't figure out where lol

Yes! I wrote quite a few chapters several years ago but I put it on the backburner to work on other projects. My drawing is a lot better now than it was back then so I've started making it (my writing is better too so there might be a few improvements from the scripts I wrote back in 2015).

A great read!
the action was nice and tense, was never quite sure how it was going to go.
Tadashi's and Fighter's lines make for nice comedic moments.
And unlike a few comics I've seen, an actual full chapter, not just a few pages :P
Great detail in the backgrounds as well, keep it up!

(A lot of issues have been fixed - this chapter is lighter and the outlines more defined than previous chapters, making it easier to read. I plan on fixing the contrast in the previous chapters to match this one eventually)
