Nothuman learn to draw like a human
« on: May 24, 2021, 06:24:44 AM »

I'll be posting frequent doodles, drawings, manga pages, and combination of all of the above here. My philosophy is usually to do a new drawing for every site I take part in so that I could focus on a specific area to improve on and get an opportunity to receive diverse feedbacks! Anyways, I hope this is the first of many posts to come! Thank you for reading!

It's a fun little doodle! The character has a lot of personality! Will definitely be imagining you as a little one eyed alien :P

Will review stories upon request. My latest arc: http://goo.gl/KYgsfF

that's a nice philosophy, I would say just do a new doodle all the time ehehehe
lovely little character!
that reminds me to put monsters and aliens on my list of stuff to draw :P

all the best with doing manga pages, they can be an epic pain. I'm doing a weekly one at the moment :P

Thank you for the interest and encouragement! I made this forum handle on a whim and thought it’d be fun to make my avatar an alien...

Then I procrastinated from actual work by daydreaming about the alien’s character and ended up drawing a couple of character studies. Time well spent, I’d say! Now to move on to my other project :sadbye:

Don't know what it is but I really like the style. I think it reminds me of the really old Snoopy comics I inherited from my mum and uncle so it's giving me this nostalgia feeling. I look forward to seeing more :)

Don't try to fool me I can see your talent with those brush strokes... I can tell you're good or at least much better than you give yourself credit for. :)

That's the feeling I wanted to capture so I'm happy to see you think so! I'm usually a sucker for iyashikei/everyday moments but the current story I'm working on is more psychological and serious in tone so I desperately needed an outlet for this kind of thing lol. Thank you for your comment, super appreciate it!

You're all too kind, thank you! Here's some sketches I've done recently, if you'd like to take a look!

Spoiler
^This is based on my other story but I've updated the character designs since.

Spoiler
^One of the updated designs.

Had a chance get a quicky Alien sketchy in today.

Spoiler

I'm starting to get which direction I want to take this story in! :)

love the colouring of the alien sketch!
he totally deserves a comic of his own :D

great character design on the second one, the clothes have good form and volume to them :)

Such kind words! Thank you!

I've been practicing paneling with extremely simple drawings and thought it'd be perfect for the Not Human dude. Definitely something I want to try soon!

Spoiler

Something like along this kind of atmosphere!

Spoiler

Wanted to draw something different for this thread so sketched Mikasa.

Thanks for dropping by! Until next time!

I am a simple creature. I see eyepatch lady, I simp.

But for real, your use of values is astounding. Digital art that mimics graphite pencil is something I appreciate very much. And I can agree that the color reminds me of Sunday comic strips. We're happy to have you here, and I look forward to seeing more of what you do. Sometimes simple slice of life things are a fantastic read, and they require a lot of sequential composition knowhow. You're doing great with that.
Haha signature go brr.

Whoa, what a nice comment! You kinda made my crummy day better, I gotta admit! Nice to meet you and I'm happy to share this space with such kind people!

Here's a mock panel I made with Sanya(eyepatch lady) the other day!
Spoiler
^Her eyepatch is on the wrong eye, please ignore. I flipped the canvas midway into drawing and forgot to flip it back lol

I also should've used "thread" instead of "string" but what's done is done.

I finally, finally got around to making something that resembles manga pages this week! I'm 4 pages in and I want to try to get it past 10 pages before putting a chapter stamp on it. Hope everyone is having a good one and thanks for dropping by!

edit: oh I should ask. Any recommendation for an image host other than Imgur you folks know of?

Thank you :) It's amazing what changing grey tones to color can do. Digital art softwares are amazing lol
