My view of writing
« on: April 24, 2021, 12:51:25 AM »
Hey has anyone seen sympathy for mr vengeance, corpus christi, hime chan no ribbon, once upon a time in highschool and no country for old men?

I just like how some scenes go back and forth, while things escalate here and there sometimes after 1 episode of a anime the cycle just little bit happens? Start>Setting>Conflict>Climax>Resolution I been trying to observe 80s cinema to understand dialogue just like the slice of life anime hime chan no ribbon characters talk about something leading to something. Characters go home meet each other sometimes other characters don't appear because something is going on. They walk to place to place doing activities helping out and doing but it seems kind of repetitive since i've been seeing that in a lot of manga. I like those oblivious characters and I like the other characters trying to figure out what is going on this character head. Sometimes in the other movies I see bad ass moments because of things heating up like a weakling losing his mind when trap into a fight maybe like his first fight or attacking anarchist due to making the character very upset. If I can one day get my webtoons I would like to have a review thinking of studying writing and getting help just right now I have a list of manga and movies to filter and need to study a lot for drawing. I got a disability there's this program for disabilities that help with employment that i'm going through right now I got a job i'm 25 and studying for 2 more months to get a better job. I get money from the government. If I can by pass that to make a actual living like webtoons then life would be good i'm also sometimes disorientated i'm practising driving once a week and trying to improve myself. It feels like I want to give up but i'm pushing through and fighting for my dream due through head ache. Just don't want to consume a lot of stuff I just want to be a man of production??

I know how you feel, that's how I've been for a long time!

It would be great to see you make a comic. having a weekly release schedule helps to stabilise other parts of your life, at least that's how it is for me.

maybe start with a smaller goal of just posting one artwork a week, and then build it up into writing a story.

I think everybody has a need to feel like they are doing something worthwhile and being productive towards it - it's very natural to become unhappy with just consuming.

I wish you the best of luck in improving your productivity, finishing your studies, the job hunt, and in making your webtoons. And good on you for pushing through when things feel difficult.

As for your writing, it seems that you are saying you like quite a variety of things, but mostly you like slow, character-focused build-ups, even if a plot doesn't move a lot? That's completely valid - this basically describes the book series I am reading now! (Dune). The most difficult part of writing those stories, however, is making sure that there is a point!

Some advice for helping to organise your thoughts onto a page like this is to break up your points into separate lines, as I am doing here. This will help others to read your thoughts a bit more clearly.

Studying is always good, but eventually you will find that the best way to practice this kind of writing is to attempt it yourself, no matter what the results are. The first drafts are always going to be rough, but if you keep working at it you will be able to look back at your own work and decide if you've hit the target you were aiming for.

Will review stories upon request. My latest arc: http://goo.gl/KYgsfF

100% agree. There is only so much that sticks when you're watching YouTube, you might think you're learning a lot but by the time you come to draw/write you've forgotten it all. But your own experience you will remember a lot more strongly.

Look no further than my current manga for roughness lol
I stop at the first draft and just move on, you gain a lot of ground that way and I think it's good for gaining early level experience. You can very quickly determine if you are going in the right direction or not.
