Danny's FanArt
« on: August 13, 2019, 05:17:03 PM »
Crossover art, added Jonathan Joestar (Jojo) with Tanjiro (Demon Slayer),  because of the similarities.

I tried out the Sakura pen I've just gotten, I wish I could get thicker line on more pressure, probably should've have used a sharpie, and as soon as I started inking the contour I noticed some mistakes on the sword :(

Anyway, I'll probably post more stuff over here from time to time, as I'll copy other great manga panels and art from the artist that I like to develop a style that pleases me.

Lol older jojo it's easier than current one, Araki improved alot since then.

Any way, today I started to "TRY" to copy some other artist styles to get a hang of work needed to draw a decent manga, and damn it's in another freaking level. It's not about copy everything perfect tho, I'm more focused in studying other aspect of the drawing like technique and style.

So I started with Murata's work and I drew/copy this page from One Punch Man, the fight between Garou and Bang. I quickly used a software to change the lines in order to see a bit better, tomorrow I'll "TRY" to ink.

wow, pretty amazing. at first glance I might not have noticed that it wasn't the original artist!
I think the inking and the sketch came out really good, keep it up!

It's a parody of First of the North Star within the anime, those are fun to draw. I tried to make it rugged in the lineart to suggest a old school anime look.

As for the phone pic, I have some led bulbs, so I knew I had to light up the paper with bright light to look anything decent, then I changed the levels to get something decent enough to paint over to cover the area so people won't notice it.

I had a problem where the lower and upper half would dark too much depending on the level, to get around I split the image in half and changed the level of each half to get it look.

Here is a reduce size of it, which I like better than the color part:

Wow you really did some work to disguise having taken it on a phone! Good job! I do love the idea of one of the big buff guys from a Big Buff Guy Series TM just having a goofy face like that!

totally, the style shift from body to face is humorous enough as it is :P

ahhh yes I have had to do the same thing, splitting up different sections to adjust the levels differently. it's a pain but worth it in the end. well done and keep it up!

I made a quick sketch from Shinra from Fire Force, I had a hard time  with adding clothing to the leg, without looking wierd. I'll probably ink it after working a bit more on it.

Critics is always welcomed.

ooh very nice. instantly recognizable.
Yeah that's a tough pose, both with perspective but also motion.
The rotation of the raised foot seems a bit out. Also I can't quite tell, is that his right leg that's raised? it looks like a left foot though :/

bear in mind that sometimes even real life looks weird :P
