just get rid of the wanted boards....

now i have seen many people break the rules for the wanted boards and its becoming a huge frustration so....

have only 1 topic in each board but locked, only the mods can comment on the topic and it is only to add who is available for work, the ppl have to fill the requirements to be able to be added, if they dont log on after a couple of weeks without warning, their name gets removed

it is that simple... this is how we can keep members hanging around instead of "taking without giving back"

On the other hand, it works as a filter against people who may spam other sections of the website.

It's been brought up before, but the reasoning behind keeping it hasn't changed. We could take it away, but people would just start posting the same types of topics elsewhere. And once in a while people really do find partners with it. So ultimately, it's a minor annoyance, which can be easily avoided by just staying out of the board.

I talked to Hasith about the matter a couple weeks back. In my opinion, I believe that the wanted boards are a useful and beneficial addition to the forum. However, they have been misused for some time now. Hasith did mention changes that might come around in the future, so until then, I remain hopeful.

Just to clarify, SEO: Search Engine Optimization. It means that we appear higher on the list in Google, Bing, etc. This is particularly important because people (such as myself) in the community had searched for artists and happened across this forum. So, although it brings in bad apples from time to time, I do think that the wanted boards are quite a valuable asset to the forum.

Just my two cents ;)
