My very first Manga drawing
« on: July 28, 2017, 02:34:05 PM »

So this pretty much my very first ever drawing. I'm putting it up here because hopefully (If I can keep this up), I'll be able to compare when i first started to whatever i may do in the future

Yeah, if you look at some of our artist's first posts in their galleries then look at their later stuff, it can be pretty inspiring. I look forward to seeing where you will go.

As a note, just based on what I'm seeing in this image, it looks like you're drawing without guidelines or shapes. When you're starting out, these are important to get to know, and they can help make sure that the eyes are level with each other and that the head will be wide enough for everything to fit on its face. I'll be getting some batteries for my tablet in a bit--when I come back I may redline for you.

Edit:
and, here you go. If you have any questions on why I did what I did, feel free to ask. (Also I had no idea what age range you were going for so I just kinda went with it?)

It all comes with practice. You may also want to look into trying to get your wrist to draw long, consistent lines rather than short, quick, feathery lines. Just getting control of your utensil can take hours upon hours of practice.
