that's totally true Coryn it's something I do as another hobby/skill so I'm used to it.
and you did a fantastic job Lego, there's 3-4000 lines of code there all pretty much working. I can't say I would have liked to start this thing from scratch but you've done a LOT of the work for me.
for me programming is just a really complicated flowchart of steps, so you can break down larger steps into smaller ones until they are so simple you can understand them. I can split down my workload generally quite effortlessly either through practice as I've been programming on and off for 15 years now, or just through intuition as I enjoy problem solving as you say.
I enjoy programming as I can see the end result and have the experience to know that it's achievable. so it's easier for me to do stuff with it. kinda like sorting out a really messy room. looks crazy at first glance, but really its a lot of little items which all need to go in a specific place. don't have a place? make one. got a place? great. so it's more of having the time to achieve the level of result that you want.
it's like a different form of writing or art, maybe closer to construction or craft or technology in terms of problem solving and thinking through things.
I had no idea I had these thoughts in my head :P
if I feel like a video I'll make something :P
(remind me who I send MRYoutube videos to?)
