I think the coloring is good enough to do children's book illustrations.
You framed the scenes really well.

Does the dark cloud behind the boy have any significance? It draws the eyes towards it.

thats impressive use of line men but limited use of torso position keep up the good work

Thank you. I do find torsos hard to draw

Thanks, I think being a children's book illustrator would be a pretty good job, so it makes me happy to here you say that ;D The dark cloud was an accident. I used too much paint and it dried funny, although I was imagining the scene as the boy telling the girl bad news or something so I guess it works... maybe.

You're on the verge of having a really cute and great style there. I can tell that you take your time with your drawings and have a great scale. Lots of emotions, backgrounds and stuff. I love this tree for example. Other than what the others pointed out I'd live to know if you have any story for the characters and the like. They're sure to be interesting

Thank you ^^ On the verge... I guess that just means more practice :D Actually almost all my characters have some kind of story to them. Generally I just have trouble with the actual writing of the story... I have plots, settings and characters but that's all.

I know the feeling haha. Well if you start small, like 4koma small then you can have an easier time working your way to bigger grander things.

It looks real good though. Not sure if its right but maybe stardust pink's art could interest you as well. I get the same vibes from seeing her art as well

Never really thought of making 4komas before as they are usually funny and I'm not. I might try though, thanks for the suggestion :D I have seen stardust pink's art and I do like it

I will be happy to give you some story scripts so you can practice. I don't need writing credit. I really see potential in your art so i want to help.

The ghost girl drawing you did already has a mischief feel to it which you can play with in a short comic.

Here is a comedy tip. Comedy is just tragedy plus timing. Which basically means you contradict what is expected when something happens. Think bugs bunny when he walks and talks to elmer fud about what he is about to do. Obviously, he there to kill him, but bugs asks him anyways. which is something that you wouldn't expect. Well at first, the set up is beyond famous. "What's up, doc?"

love the tree, my trees look almost identical, although not as complicated :P
i think for the profile face, the forehead sticks out a bit more than i think it should, it makes the face look a little dented :P
keep up the good work :P

Some sketches I made yesterday:

For the rocks in the centre, I was trying different shading techniques. And so appears an important question, which do you think is the rockiest?

The top right looks the best. The bottem left looks more like hay. The bottom right looks really good too.

The top left looks the funkiest. When I look at it I get a metallic feel to it, resembling silver ore.

Thank you for your comments :D I was thinking the top right was the best, simple crosshatching. The top left looks metallic... interesting...
