Drawings by Froggy
« on: April 10, 2016, 08:53:50 PM »
Thank you for looking at my drawings ;D I started trying to draw almost three years ago, after I discovered anime and manga. Most of these drawings are from about half a year ago until today. So here they are:

And some linearts:

And here are some coloured drawings:

Sorry for it being so long ^^;

So you've been drawing like this for 3 years...you seem to be working on a cute style here but I think you should defiantly keep an eye on proportions, this is where the ever classic line comes in...that you will always hear...use real life reference! It always helps and once you really understand the basics and then mess around it'll take form much nicer as opposed to learning from anime. But as for what you have here today I think it's not too bad, your coloured ones especially look cool. You seem to work on faces a lot but I'd say just make sure you work on all things fairly evenly you know. The first picture has some nice sketches also.

Where are drawings by Big The Cat?

Thank you! I will work on proportions. And I actually often use references (myself in the mirror) but also get lazy sometimes... Thank you for the advice! :D

Nice artworks you got there..you have a potential, you just need to keep practice on it>< I suggest you to start practice on the head part first, in order to make a proper one, you need to practice each part one by one><..and that's where you need to be patient, sometimes you will meet some moments(I experienced it but in the end it depends on each person><) when you start practicing the next part after you feel you can make the previous part properly, and when you want to make the previous part again, the result becomes inappropriate again, unlike when you started practicing that part on the first time, don't worry..you just have to practice it again(somehow you can even make that previous part better than your first time><), that's the process that you need to go through, the more you practices the more your artwork becomes better. So here's a quick tutorial..make the easiest part for you(most artists suggests the head part first), after that..go to the next part, redraw the previous part, after that..go to the new part, redraw the previous one again..and so on. But again, the choice is yours, find a way that suits you better><

it's funny, i was doing a drawing without reference that is basically your drawing of the character sitting down with arms back. Next to the leg. I was stumped about the arms but i can use yours a reference. :dance:

Thank you for the welcome! And yes I used a pencil to sketch but they were really messy so I went over them with a blue pen. Thank you! ;D

looks like asuka from evangelion
good job on the digital colouring
i think though the head might be a bit too large for the body and the neck is a little too narrow or long depending on your style.
good shading on the face though, keep it up!

Had to look her up and she does look like her. This character is actually from a really short comic that I'm drawing and I just used random colours as the comic is black and white.
The blending tool is amazing... and the head ended up bigger than it was supposed to.
Thank you! ;D

Coloring is really great ! There is head and neck problem but again when it comes to Manga nothing has to be done anatomically perfect I think. All manga has unnatural human characters. But has drawing it would look perfect when proportions are correct.  Hope to see more of your stuff soon. :)
