Anime Talk / Re: I'll finish it one day.....
« on: March 18, 2014, 07:57:39 PM »
You gotta get back to Steins;Gate right now! You haven't seen anything by episode 6. Trust me it gets extremely exciting you just have to give it some time to set up. It's a great fricking series. There's a reason it's rated so highly on every anime website, you just have to keep watching to see what that reason is.

Anyways I haven't finished Shakugan no Shana 3.

I love Shakugan no Shana 1 and 2. AMAZING series, my #4 of all time. I loved it, loved it, loved it. Shana is my favourite anime girl of all time. It was such an incredible well written story that inspired me greatly. But the third series sucked. It ruined the last two and destroyed everything that was good about it before. I got 12 episodes in and I haven't watched it since. It's a shame how such a masterpiece could have a sequel that bad.

General Discussion / Re: Ultimate Dream
« on: March 18, 2014, 07:47:17 PM »
I said this on here before but my ultimate dream is to make a successful long running graphic novel series that is adapted into a major animated theatrical film and later a massive TV series that I have full control over. That would kick ass!

I want to save the analog format of books with my graphic novels and make sure the world doesn't go fully digital. A world where very book, album, movie etc. is only available digitally would suck. Digital formats are lame seeing as you don't really own anything except a file. Woohoo I got a file on a computer. Nothing beats having a collection of REAL media. Sorry I'd take my KISS records, stack of MAD Magazines etc. over files anyday. I can't hold the file of KISS Alive II in my hands and look at the amazing gatefold image while the record spins.

Yes. It's called The Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat so hen means hentai but the Hentai part means pervert.

Still code geass show things even henneko (a hentai anime) doesnt show, I mean its ridiculous and realistic when a girl get stuck in a known place and then just get naked completely.
Whoa whoa whoa. HenNeko is NOT a hentai anime. I think you meant ecchi.

Music / Vinyl
« on: March 15, 2014, 09:49:34 AM »
Do we have any vinyl collectors here? I love records myself and I have amassed a decent stack in the last few years. My greatest find was the German pressing of the Europe only KISS album Best of Solos. Records sound far better then any other medium and anyone who's ever listened to one would most likely agree! Nothing beats when you put on Highway to Hell and you hear the initial crackle then soft sound of the record running then opening chords slam in with such impact that they leave an echo and the drums crash in...it sounds like magic on vinyl. Analog music is just the best!

So does anyone else collect?

General Discussion / Re: Your Prime Time For Ideas?
« on: March 14, 2014, 11:16:08 PM »
I do like to listen to music and imagine things before I sleep though since I always take a long time to fall asleep.
I like to listen to music and come up with scenes as well! I used to do this back when I made videos, I'd always listen to a song I wanted to use for the video and imagine a scene for the skit. Now for comics I just put my iPod on shuffle and go through songs thinking of scenes until one song hits me and I get inspiration.

General Discussion / Your Prime Time For Ideas?

When is your best time of the day to think of ideas/scenes for your series?

For me I always think up scenes in my head as I try to go to bed. I've come up with some great ideas that I had to jump out of bed and write down a few times like this. It's better to me then sitting down at my desk and thinking over a blank sheet of paper forever. I just find it to be a good time where my mind is just focused on ideas. I've even had some ideas hit me as soon as I wake up that ended up pretty good. My funniest original character came to me this way.

What about you guys?

MR Pub / Re: Anyone else hear the Voices?

I do that sometimes when I write a script or in vision scenes as I try to go to bed. I always imagine them as cartoon voice actors and sometimes anime ones. I have one egotistical turd character with a massive head who I imagine sounding like Plankton, one energetic girl I image sounding like Jenny Wakeman, a very sadistic girl who enjoys being in power who I imagine sounding like Yuiko Kurugaya(sub), and a few others.

Most of my characters are based off my friends so I can just use their voices in my head so that's easy.

In my dream world I become a pro comic creator and make a successful graphic novel series that's turned into a theatrical animated film and later a long running TV series.

But really I'd just settle with the graphic novel part. I've always wanted to make comics and that's what I'd like do for a living!

Music / Re: Favorite instrument
« on: March 14, 2014, 09:45:20 AM »
Well I play guitar, bass and drums...drums are my favorite to play since they're so fun! It feels good to bash them and I love to play my drum solo. I always do a 5 minute drum solo every time I play. It feels great then I listen back and go "oh my God that's what I sounded like!" It's like that when I sing to. I love to scream out Black Diamond like Eric Carr when I play drums and then I listen back and shutter. Guitar is also a blast and I like to slam out Ac/Dc songs like Malcolm Young. Yes I break many strings. I think overall I'd go with guitar for this.

Both although my writing is weaker. I do like to draw from other people's scripts but making it myself is ultimately the best.

I knew that line would come off wrong. I didn't mean level of drawing because of course they're all on higher levels then me. I meant in terms of published work yes or no.

I think because it's make me feel like I have no chance of becoming a pro comic creator if I can't even draw anywhere near as good as the people I'm jealous of. Why would anyone want to look at my lame art when all these other people are capable of so much more?

Well here's one thing that should make things easier, there are people out there who draw "worst" than amateurs, there are people who write "worst" than amateurs, and yet get published.

These people you see who draw better than you, how many of them are actually published? some people do get published, not most, but usually there are some times.

Keep in mind, everyone has started off somewhere.
Oddly enough I'm not jealous of anyone who's published or a pro. It's like I'm not jealous of Ace Frehley because I can't play the solo in Shock Me right but I get jealous when I see people on YouTube playing it perfectly(hardly but kinda related). I guess I don't like seeing people on my level (in terms of pro/non pro) who are better then me.
