congratulations!!!!
that's a massive milestone to have reached, you deserve that break!!!
I still haven't gotten around to reading the original story yet but I'd love a link to add to my to-read list all the same, you never know I might actually get started one of these days.

epic then your rendering was on point!!

awesome bug, I've never seen a preying mantis in the wild yet :/
love the hatching on the book, definitely could be a manga style.

Day 43: had a couple of bad days but re-stabilizing quickly, hopefully that quick recovery will keep up long term.
quite happy with this one but lately the faces aren't going how I want...

normally a photo of the damaged item is good enough as proof
although if the main packaging is damaged then take a photo of that as well before opening
chances are low that'll happen though

as for hacking and whatnot, I recommend not saving your card details to the site so you can't lose money in the unlikely event of a hack. but that's equally unlikely.

ehehe happy to help a fellow raider out!
I know how it feels to have feedback on my own work so I'm glad I can pass that on where I can :D

ooohhh very nice finally read it all :D
the flow of the story is great, a cool setting with the demon angel pairing.
shame it ended on a cliffhanger I would definitely like to read more!!!!

interesting use of vectorizing, I've only done that a couple of times with my artwork with not much success, at least, it worked but I didn't like how it looked. I might try it again myself sometime.

but I agree with Operative, post away and you'll get great feedback. Noone's going to bash you on MR :P

ah well *shrugs* not all my dreams come true eh XD

ahahaha believe it or not game coding is my end goal as well I'm just on a tangent at the moment XD

I think your evaluation of the different mediums are pretty correct.

If you're just after having fun then I say go ahead and churn out as much manga as you want! You might find down the line you want to do something different to spice it up, or you'll stick with it true to the end. But I'm glad you were able to come to a decision, that's the best outcome :D

If you're planning on doing more manga then I'll look forward to reading that :P

thanks, you think so huh?
shame it's also one of my least original....
nice canyon thing, the white areas look like snow for some reason.

Day 42: haven't woken up properly couldn't get myself together for this one.
to be fair I'm not aiming for quality in this project, I'm letting a lot of stuff slip through the quality control net that I could have fixed with time.

looks nice!
full colour manga is somewhat rare so it's pretty cool to see :P
keep it up!

no worries, sorry to hear it's been a bit difficult for you. Life is so complex that it's hard to make it go smoothly these days.
with pencil sketch scans you may need to increase the contrast using GIMP, Photoshop or some other image editing software to make the lines show more clearly.
hope you can figure out the stuff you're working on!

depends what you mean by "safe", but I would say they both are good to use.
I use both and almost never have an issue, sometimes an item is damaged and it needs to be replaced but that's about all the issues I've had.
If you find an item that's priced too good to be true then it's likely to be a knock-off brand though, so make sure to read the description carefully so you get what you want.

Gahhhh it's been a while since I updated this thread. It's been slow going on the core skills side of art over the last year.
But I seem to be gaining momentum consistently over the last few weeks, enough that I've started to tackle some projects that have been collecting dust.
I've done some general studies on stuff like scenery and animals which I haven't done for over a year, but also my super high quality figure project which is good for practising a wide range of original poses.
These are just a random selection from the batch of 30 that I just completed.

To be honest compared with the previous post a year ago I can't really see much improvement, that either means I haven't improved or my execution was different in some way. I'm feeling confident to tackle another batch soon so we'll see if that turns out any better. Either way they're not bad by any means, so my manga project should survive even with guidelines of this quality.
The main observable difference is the render style, which is more solid and has confident strokes compared to smooth and less confident from last time. It's about the same speed but the bonus is I can feel the form a lot better so adding clothing around the body should be a lot easier.
Hopefully have more to show soon. Got loads of other study areas to cover as wlel. Always busy :P
