Thanks a lot for all your kind messages. Life is a bazooka that exploses in your face out of nowhere.
It's a lesson to never forget: take Care of your Friends and familles. Enjoy each day.
Plant each day a seed of happiness.
Today, I bought cheap alcohol pens. I was with my mother buying some food and I saw them.I learnt how to draw with my father. It's time to start again. One step a day. One day after the other.
Tomorrow, I will tell you about my travel to Sri Lanka in August 2018. Yep, After 13 or 14 years, Hasith and me finally met!

break Room / Hello my old Friends.

Hi dear Mangaraiders

It's been quite a long time right? Many members may not know me. I'm surely a urban legend.
I am Corinne, alias Corycaly, co funder and co admin of this forum with Hasitha. I used to draw a lot, wanted to be a manga artist but life had other plans for me. I've been a primary school teacher for more than 11 years now. I was a highschool Student when we started MR Forum. I slowly but surely stopped being active in forum as Real Life took over...but never stopped paying forum invoices lol.

Hasitha and me created MANGARAIDERS as a nice friendly place to share Our manga passion, far from the usual violence,  angst and negativity usually found in other forums. A place for everybody that slowly but surely became more than a community:a family.

Life hit me hard last friday. Life exploded in my face like a bazooka last friday.
My beloved dad passed away suddenly, Taken by a very agressive cancer that came out of nowhere at 66 years old. Taken in less than 3 months. Total powerlessness, total angst, hopes broken to dust.  Cancer destroyed everything.

My mother, my brother and me are broken, devastated. It hurts so much. We have now started the first days of the rest of our lives, without dad. So many things we won't live with him, so many words left unsaid. Bodies, hearts and minds to  heal and rebuild.

It's Time to connect to true Friends and family. I hope the MR family will open  her arms for me like it did for all those years. Thank you, dear Mangaraiders.

Today, I'm listening to Gwent's OST
Gwent is the cardgame created in the Witcher 3 video game.
I like its mysterious and dynamic atmosphere!

General Manga writer discussions / Re: Doubting my ideas
« on: February 23, 2018, 04:47:14 PM »
As Coryn Sken, you have lots of ideas mixed together. It's good because it means you have inspiration  but here the result is too complex, too blurred.
Here is a  simple advice. Try to answer in one sentence those questions:
When? Where? Who? What? How/Why?
Once you have those elements, you can summarize your story with those steps.
The problem
The solution
The conclusion
This will help you to clean up your ideas! I hope it will work for you!

break Room / Re: Which Manga do you want an anime made for it?
« on: February 22, 2018, 05:33:52 PM »
I wish the manga Chichi Kogusa was adapted into an anime. It's a very lovely story taking place in the traditional Japan. The main character is a father who spends his life on the road selling meds. He almost never has time to see his wife and his son. At his sudden wife's death, he decides to take his 3 years old son with him.

The story is a mix of poetry, feelings, humor and family. A pure treasure!

break Room / Re: has anyone ordered anything from wish
« on: February 22, 2018, 05:28:00 PM »
Lots of stuff in wish are fake. Don't expect expensive stuff like copics or official articles like figures or clothes there.

BUT for little stuff such as sewing stuff, pet stuff etc it's worth it. I bought a harness for my dog for 5 euros instead of 40 in real shops and it works perfectly. Same for some articles I bought for my cosplay projects (beads etc).

I bought two anime figures there. I knew they were fake but I wanted to test it. The first one is very beautiful and solid. The second is a nendoroid: its beautiful but I had to glue all the parts together to make them hold.

I got all the articles quicker than expected (15 days maximum). I have ordered little pc stuff but I haven't received them yet. ^^

Status: in my bed, soon falling asleep
Progress: I have more clarity about my professionnal life, more clarity about some people too. On a more positive side, I worked on my cosplay projet and made lots of embroideries today.
Improvements: working more quickly! And more important, focusing on the positive and keeping away negative people. ^^

General Discussion / Re: Buying a new drawing tablet
« on: February 14, 2018, 03:32:23 PM »
I have never had any problems with my wacom tablets. They are a bit expensive but they are excellent. In my country (France) the client support is good: they helped me in the past and gave me precise advice. I have  never heard bad things about them.
I'm sure you made a good choice!

Anime Talk / Re: What is your all-time top 10 animes?
« on: February 12, 2018, 12:35:23 PM »
It's very difficult to choose!
 Fullmetal Alchemist (both seasons)
 Ghost in a shell
 Great teacher onizuka (GTO)
 Yuri on Ice
 Neon genesis evangelion
 Samurai Champloo
 Dragon ball
 Ranma 1/2
Mobile suit Gundam wing

They aren't in exact order. Some are real oldies but they are still great. Most can be found on youtube (Gto, Ranma 1/2 for example).

Anime Talk / Re: Which Anime series you are watching ?
« on: February 09, 2018, 01:15:07 PM »
I started to watch gakuen babysitter.
Let's be clear, it won't be the ultra fight/ mecha anime if the year, quite the opposite!
It's the story of a highschool student, whose parents died in an airplane crash. He has to take care of his 2 or 3 years old brother, Kotaro. The headmaster of the local highschool makes a deal with him: she'll provide him everything he needs if he becomes the babysitter club new member. It means that when he isn't in class, he has to take care of the teachers little children.

Let's be clear: it's a tender anime that will make you coo.

I never played that game but I've heard lots of good things about it.
One of my next cosplay project is the dreadqueen rathian armor. ^o^
