I don't know if Hasith is already aware of this or not, but I stumbled across it and thought it'd be neat to post it here.
It's a SMF mod that auto-embeds Youtube links in a post. Pretty cool little feature. It'd be nice for the "What are you listening to" thread.

Some of you may remember me as Sumi (that guy who couldn't write). I've changed around my account a bit and since the last time I logged in here was March of 2011, I figured it would be appropriate to make a new introduction.

My name is Fnnenn Enninn, or Daniel in real life. I'm 18 and a dude, living and studying in Canada. I used to write here in my spare time with my friend Litt. I got the urge to come back after having an awesome dream that I just wanted to adapt to words mostly so I remember it.

I spend my time working, studying (but I'm on vacation now so whoooo), playing games (mostly LoL) and longboarding. Hopefully I can get reacquainted with you guys and newly acquainted with the abundance of new members I'm sure to learn of.

See you around,

The zombie walk was excellent. So many common infected, some uncommon infected and of course, the special infected. (Oh, and one survivor)

First, here's the Hunter costume I did:

My friend the Smoker:

My other friend the smoker:

My friend the charger: (That's right, huge damn arm made of duct tape)

My friend the witch: (We don't know any girls, okay?!)

My friend the L4D2 Hunter variant:

And here's the group photo [+Two people we met, a third hunter (Hunting party mutation, anyone?) and one Ellis         -The smoker who had the better costume, he had to leave just before this was taken]

I apologize for the guy in his sister's sports bra and booty shorts.

...Honestly, I do.

break Room / Characters you find embarrassingly attractive.

Tell us who you find attractive, but in a way that makes you feel guilty or embarrassed. Could be anyone. Pics are required, unless they cannot be found or are too ecchi for MR. Got the idea from some random websurfing.
I'll start off.
Luluko- Code Geass (Lelouch turned female)

INB4 Bridget. Everyone is gay for Bridget.

Tips and Tutorials / Watermarking tutorial.
« on: August 10, 2010, 02:27:10 PM »
SO, I decided to do a tutorial because I want moar posts it might help Matsu with her story, and I feel I should contribute to the community or something.. Here goes

So, I've got this ecchi pic that I found in my harddrive on the internet.

And I want to tell the children that this is immoral! So I need to put the Moral Bear seal of Disapproval on it.

But it would be mean if I just covered up the image so the children coudln't see what they were missing is so immoral that they should avoid. I decide to water mark. But how2watermark? Never fear! I know!
For the tutorial I will be using Photoscape, but I'm sure Gimp or PS have some sort of tool similar.
After opening Photoscape, I choose my picture. By clicking on the folder it's in, then the picture in the picture select panel.

Now I want to add in my water mark. So I click "object" in the bottom tool bar, then the image symbol when the "object" tool bar opens.

From there, a drop up box will appear after clicking the Image symbol. Select photo at the very top. (Alternatively you can copy an image and select "clipboard photo" under the "photo" option)

This will open a Windows explorer window. Once again, select the folder location of the image, then the image.

Now this little small task window will open (as below), and you'll want to drag the opacity bar to the bottom (64). Then click "OK".

From here you can drag and resize your mark freely by clicking on it and dragging the corners to make it larger or smaller, or dragging the whole image for placement. And here's my finished project, I chose to put it in the top left, because it looks like Moral Bear and the naughty Asuna are locking eyes now.

TIP: The best watermarks are simple text or logos with transparent backgrounds, that you can hide in a corner. But make sure it still touches the art work, so it can't be removed or cropped away. Signatures also work, but make sure it isn't fancy and doesn't distract the reader. Gimp is a good tool to do that with.
Both Photscape and Gimp are free for download and use.
Happy watermarking!

break Room / Blagit- Manga forum

Hey, so I met someone today who offered me a mod position in his manga forum.
I'm pretty sure he found be through here, and he seemed pretty nice, especially to a stranger like me, anyway, here's the link to his site:

Please critique and give suggestions, anything you notice, so he can make improvements and such.
One of his big concerns is not getting many visitors, so how would he be able to get more, what's a good way to advertise?

Video / PC Games / Bannote
« on: July 31, 2010, 06:08:45 PM »
Thought I'd put this up.
Anyway, Bannote is an organization that works together to fight hacking and such in online gaming, and occasionally helps out in chat sites. Basically, we do out best to report anything we see.
Right now, we keep in contact through a Facebook group, were the leaders can send out messages and such to the group members, we can upload photos like screenshots of a hacking event, since the more screens the better, and we can upload different pictures like successful reports or such, to give everyone a sense of progress. We also have a few guilds around for people to join, a sort of community network.
If you have any questions, about joining or anything related, forward them to me, here in a PM or anywhere you can contact me.
s.bannotePLZ READ RULES NO EMAIL ADDRESSES.com if you need it, thats my e-mail.

Not sure if this belongs in the promo section or not, I put it here for higher traffic and since it relates to gaming anyway, move it if need be. ^^

Anyway, hoping you guys check this out, anyway, and if you feel like joining don't be shy! Thanks.

Manga Talk / Publisher disaster! Onemanga given a viking funeral.
« on: July 22, 2010, 05:50:43 AM »
Before I say anything, heres the link to the homepage click on that first.

In case you didn't get the popup, heres what it said:

"It pains me to announce that this is the last week of manga reading on One Manga (!!). Manga publishers have recently changed their stance on manga scanlations and made it clear that they no longer approve of it. We have decided to abide by their wishes, and remove all manga content (regardless of licensing status) from the site. The removal of content will happen gradually (so you can at least finish some of the outstanding reading you have), but we expect all content to be gone by early next week (RIP OM July '10).

So what next? We're not really sure at this point, but we have some ideas we would like to try out. Until then, the One Manga forums will remain active and we encourage all of you to continue using them. OMF has developed into a great community and it would be a shame to see that disappear.

Regardless of whether you stay with us or not, on behalf of the One Manga team, I would like to thank you all for your unwavering support over the years. Through the ups and downs you have stuck with us, and that is what kept us going.

As a certain Porky was fond of saying... That's all folks!

Time for me to go lay down and let this all sink in.

- Zabi"

Give that some time.
Onemanga will be gone soon, because publisher's kicked up a fuss.
Frankly, I'd like to know what publisher(s) is responsible for this, if anyone else has some further news post it here.
When the last content goes, this thread is officially a memorial thread.
Thanks to Litt for telling me about this horrible news.

Music / Some really good techno?
« on: July 08, 2010, 03:57:42 PM »
Halp guise!
So, I find without really good techno and fast paced music I'm not very good at shooters, so I'm looking for some really great techno.
Anyone have a radio station for this? Some recommended songs, I can download to check out?

Video / PC Games / TF2 speed tips?
« on: July 04, 2010, 04:00:48 AM »
So,  I've tried everything for more FPS in TF2, what kind of *Censored* wizard magic do you use for *censored* to work properly?

CCleaner, Disk defrag and clean up.
Low quality, added quality rape features, (My quality is below low right now, and I'm comtemplating derendering teeth and eyes, for added FPS) DX8.1.
I cancel any applications running that don't need to be, I make hl2.exe high priority (I have a dual core, so I think I may try Realtime instead of High) and I've canceled explorer.exe while playing, for extra memory space.

My computer is good, this is seriously the first time I've ever had this issue, expect maybe a small bit of lag if I play portal with maxed graphics. I do have a poor connection, though.

Suggestions And Feedback / Avatars
« on: June 22, 2010, 04:37:46 PM »
Lately, I've been having some issues with avatars. Some peoples avatars wont display for a day or two, and then they come back.
It's happened with Kite's, Sai's currently, Doodler's, Hasith currently and Lirne.
I also know Coryn has had the problem, so what was it like for you (if you see this thread)?

CosPlay / Right behind you!

Some of you may have understood by the title.
Tommorrow in school we are having formal day, so I thought; "What better time to cosplay as the TF2 spy?"

Costume was simple, pics in a minute, and hopefully some new ones tommorrow when school pics are uploaded to FB.

break Room / Kill Shakespeare
« on: May 23, 2010, 01:44:57 PM »
Recently I started reading a new series called "Kill Shakespeare" where his greatest villians are pit against his greatest heroes, with the ulitmate goal of killing the "reclusive wizard" William Shakespeare.
It's up to two issues now, and so far I really like it, theres a delay on the third issue, since more stores are buying the first now and they wanted to make sure they can get enough done to send out.
This is the first comic series that isn't manga, that I bought or really ever enjoyed much, anyone else read it or hear of it?

Manga Talk / blood+ Adiago
« on: May 20, 2010, 08:57:51 PM »
I was wondering, I picked this up in the comic shop today, and look at it for a while, I didn't buy it but I think I might.
Has anyone read the Blood+ series, or more specifically, Blood+ Adiago? It looked really interesting, and I'm going to check it out online.
Anyone else read it and have a review that won't spoil it for me?
