So, yeah, I was stumbling on pixiv when I saw the ad.

Apparently it's having a 60% ~ 70% off sale until the 7th Oct (Japan time)

I'm grabbing it now cause I was always interested in it but is kinda troubled by the price. Just thinking that maybe you guys would like to know this too.

General Discussion / How do you draw sharp edges?

Hi friends.
I'm still pretty much the amateur out of amateurs in drawing so this maybe a dumb question.

My title may seem weird cause I don't know exactly how to ask this... but how do you guys color an area with sharp endings, like spikes?

The best example I can think of is when you color hair, some of you might draw hard shadows which usually has a sharp tip on one/both sides.

The method I'm using now is to apply a puddle of color and erase the sides until I get a sharp end, however I find it pretty bad when I have to draw many sharp tips closely to each other... and the direction the end points at doesn't always end up to what I have in mind. Sadly I seem unable to find a better method yet =="

Can anyone share their thoughts?

Greetings!
Otaku with a small hobby of drawing here.
I live in Hong Kong and am currently studying as an undergraduate.
My dream is to work in Japan, a job directly or indirectly related to ACG would be a cherry on top!
Due to this I'm also studying Japanese, still struggling like with drawing though...

Nothing too special about me so not sure what else to say ><"
I'm an introverted person who stays at home every time I can (^_^)"
Dislikes group activities though I can be a little talkative in private, but usually runs out of topics quite fast due to my indifference to social issues and mainstream popular culture. Haha...

Hello, people of this community!
I've just started developing a regular drawing habit (to make my 3-year old tablet worth it).
Really appreciate any critique given. I want to improve but I'm not sure where to start.
So far I'm only drawing anime-style girls and stick with it until I'm decent at it.
One thing to be sure, is I'm pretty bad when it comes to more complex coloring and shading.
Anatomy is another issue. And I seem to be extremely forgetful of the techniques I used, resulting in quite different styles in every drawing.

Lesson learnt: Don't go to Japan with girls. NEVER!

Finished the sketch I left before. XD Tried to color eyes like my previous work, didn't really look as good somehow :/ Gonna experiment another style next time
