I made an account a little while ago, but I have mostly been lurking. I figured I should finally introduce myself.
My name's Misty. I am a 31-year-old Canadian, working on releasing my first novel.
I really wish I had found this site earlier. The world that I created for my novel actually originally started out as a manga mainly inspired by One Piece, with some Avatar influences as well.
I'm not all that used to forums, but I have been writing a lot of short stories for fun, and have some manga drawings from when I first started. I kind of lost heart in the drawing aspect but found writing so much fun.
Anyway, maybe I will stop lurking and actually post some stuff. ;D

You'll find this forum to be a good place to try out your ideas in a welcoming environment. We're all very supportive of each other, and although the vast majority of the traffic here are lurkers checking out people's work, it's always great to have another enthusiast posting about their own projects here.
If you're ever looking for artwork to be done, I have an excellent team with me that could help you fill that need. I'm actually on a hiring blitz at the moment, as I'm starting a new collaborative project, so we'll be bringing in more talented artists soon this week. I also have a few writers and editors on hand, so if you prefer something more in the realms of that, I can also refer you to them. ;)

we'd definitely love to have a see what you're writing :D
I think drawing and writing are both very difficult skills to gain, so picking just one seems to work well for most people.

Getting out there and interacting directly with people is 100% the best way to improve your work, so more power to you! I hope to see some of your writing soon.
