the thing that this show did better than anything, is that it had alot of emotion in it,
it may have not had the best animation, or story, but this show is so emotional, thats why i like this anime.

The story is great and solid. I love the emotional involvement, and all the techncal fluff about alchemy too.

This new FMA series is a remake of old series ?

The new fma is a remake that follows closely the manga.

The first season was created when the fma manga was only at its first chapters: its story and scenario is original and doesn't follow the manga.

The second season should be closer to the manga.

I really like the concept of alchemy, it very original and captivating but most of all I'm drawn to the psyche of Edward and his constant desire to get stronger for his brother. I think most of FMA characters have some depth which makes them so real.
