I used a mechanical pencil and a q-tip to do the shading. I don't have many good tools for drawing lol.

the koi is nice, ive been looking at a few Japanese tattoo symbols as well, maybe get my sleeve done.

I really like this kind of ink. I see lasthope use this same technique too. I like the middle one the best but my eyes glance at the first one mostly (struggles against cat-like urge to eat fish)
