Sousuke is a member of the mercenary group Mithril. He is given the task of protecting Kaname Chidori a 17 year old girl who turns out to be a whispered, a person who is born with an understanding of "Black Technology".

While trying to protect her he must fight enemies from his past while at the same time trying to master and Arm Slave equipped with the Lambada Driver, a piece of radical technology that takes whatever the pilot is thinking and makes it real.
