Practicing

I know that the best way to develop skill experience and style is to just practice and practice some more, so what are some fun ways of sketching?

Don't just Practice, Practice well.
Study from different books, such as loomis and Hampton.

if you want fun, get your friends to do weird poses and facial expressions and try and draw them :P
you could also try swapping features of your friends like hairstyles for some fun results :P

try drawing what you see upsidedown on the page or back to front.
draw with your non-dominant hand
try and draw things while on a bus or train, you learn to draw faster :P
find a friend and challenge each other to speed drawings, or try and draw as many hairstyles/face angles in a minute as you can.

some of these aren't exactly sketching, but i hope it gives you some fun ideas :P
