Well, currently I'm jobless however officially I'm an IT Consultant. It's meh. I got that job because my parents made me go to college for IT.

To be honest, what I really want to do is study gunsmithing. I love working on guns as much as I do shooting them, but my parents only care about making money. So, once I move out, I taking gunsmithing classes almost immediately, or at least as soon as I can afford them.

Not for work, no. I do plan on visiting Japan in the future, though. I've always wanted to go there to see what it's like (I heard everyone carries cash and there's barely any ATM's, and there's convenience stores everywhere) as well as for some Japan-only souvenirs and games.

Oh, my bad. If we're talking jobs in Japan I'll opt out, then. There really isn't much of anything that interests me as far as work in Japan is concerned.

I don't think Police Jobs are available for non natives in Japan. Same about most of sensitive or high ranking jobs. So the most common white color job available for outsiders is language instructors.

By the way KagePen when making a topic title make it related to the content of the topic because this way the topic will get more attention from outsiders. For example if title of this topic is "Jobs in Japan" or " employment in japan " More people would notice in Google and other search engines. Means more people would come here too. xD

Haha ok I'll change that quick xD

Haha yea a job as police would be a bad idea hehe and they'd never even consider a south african due to its bad history concerning the police, just the other day someone recorded them tying someone to their police van and driving off with this poor man screaming his lungs out and eventually dying, the police here are nothing but low life trash, which is why we have such a high crime rate .

It's not that. Well Japanese people are a bit nationalists. They do no like outsiders holding government jobs unless it's really really necessary. Even in Private sector all higher management posts goes to locals.

I think I'd have to work in a local manga cafe, I'm not a particularly smart guy and being a cashier will help me with the language, plus, I know quite a bit about manga so I'd do well ^^

Another popular job there. But not easy to find vacancies and you will be needing flaunt Japanese in written and speech. Assistant / waiter jobs more likely to be available.

In big cities these places stay open all 24 hours so you will be working long hours (Japanese like work long hours lol) Specially at night. People who miss night train goto these rather than to motels because this way cheaper.

I'm going to learn Japanese, when I get over there the only thing ill probably be worried about is remembering everything, it'd be good practice to speak with locals seen as how a lot of people learn languages from being around locals. I didn't know they were open 24/7, that'll mean, combined with working on manga I'll be lucky to get sleep at all T-T
