The fire looks great. May I ask how you accomplished making it look that way?

Sure XD.  In GIMP by using a paintbrush you can draw sparkles.  You draw a lot of small-sized sparkles close to each other and then smudge them up and down. For fire it's good to use colors like yellow and orange.
I once learned it from here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRUOm4x4MRQ but it's good to sometimes smudge on different directions when you want to indicate the wind or something like that.

No problem XD.
Ok everyone, I managed to make another work pretty fast:

It was the first time when I used the speed lines which indicates action in manga. The lineart was made of pure boredom while waiting in the library so there may be some mistakes which I can't see without help of other artists. But I decided to draw it all to it's present look after all.

What do you think?

A Pokemon fanart. Gladly Pikachu looks like Pikachu and not like some sort of different creature XD.

You have some pretty great shading skills. Same question on the program you used... but it looks traditional somehow...

Yo, thanks for the comments XD.

Minorin - That's my first Pikachu I've ever drawn XD. I'm glad you like it XD.

Jamie - As for the program I use GIMP as always.

Legomaestro - Thanks. About digital works - I always make the lineart on the paper first, then scan it and it goes to GIMP. There I correct the lineart with the mouse [with 1 pixel wide lines] and add everything else.

Happy Easter everyone! Just couldn't resist to add Kurousagi [from the anime "Mondaiji-tachi ga isekai kara kuru sou desu yo?"] for this concept XD

As you look closer you can tell that I haven't colored the lineart like I did with the Pokemon pic. And I want to ask you: Does it look better when I'm not doing it?

Thank you all :)

You mean the question I asked on the Easter picture? I'm curious about your lineart preferences. When you zoom on the Pokemon fanart you can see that the lineart has colors on it which helps in making the character look more realistic but less distingished on the background of the whole picture. Leaving it black looks just like on my previous pics. So I don't know which way it looks better XD.
