Day 6: train commute sketch. went really well. I'm starting to get myself together for taking an idea and getting it onto the page without much drama. Although I still do a bunch of doodles for ideas in the back, once I've chosen the idea then I'm set.. A lot less sketching and just plain drawing it. I'm using like <30 guidelines now, all super faint mostly straight lines but it's working. I'm limited in the level of sketch I can do at this quality without heavy guidelines or fixing mistakes but for comfort sketches it seems to be working so far.

I love sunflowers tho :P

Damn that's post-card worthy, and I can really sense the feeling of freedom in this one haha. Inspiring stuff dude. Such a cool dress and a peaceful expression.

Day 6

Was trying to draw a mage-in-training who's eating lunch and can't be bothered to weigh down the magic scroll so he stabs it instead. His master is not amused. I might take a dig at it again

I do have to say, I would love to see you take another pass at this one, while also leaving the wizard's beard the exact same shape.

Hm. Three iterations of a certain drawing does have an appeal. Certainly different from the standard improvement slideshow

I'll get to it then

Day 8

I'm planning on getting rid of as much digital drawing as possible to return to my roots. I'm using my computer too much as an excuse to not draw and it's detrimental to those opportune empty moments where I can get some doodling in. Returning to super basics with a ballpoint pen and crappy paper to knock it into my mind that I always have a chance to draw, even if I'm away from my stuff.

awesome iteration improvement there Lego!

I'm out of sketch survival for now. I'm hoping that my normal routine has picked up and so my productivity should boost to a new high again, but just on other project stuff instead. Got a ton of WIPs to crunch.

I'm out of Sketch Survival Too. I have definitely drawn today and everything, but I want to recalibrate some stuff. Will tackle it again but urgh so distracted and low energy for it I think it's better I sort some of my ish out before I continue.

Till next time!

yeah that's about the same for me. I'm sort of taking a huge gamble that everything will work out in the end @_@
hope the recalibration works out :D
