dedicaces
« on: October 12, 2007, 09:20:12 AM »
Being a manga and comics fan, I always go to festivals to meet authors. Here are some memories...

1. Aurore
the french comics author has a splendid manga style...
she's the drawer of Pixie.

2. Tony Valente
a young genius!! He's just one year older than me....brrr

3. Tonton
a french author, he draws Armandis.

4. Reno Lemaire, he draws a french manga called Dreamland
it was the first time I met a manga author: he's very gentle, patient, and gives useful pieces of advice.

5. jean luc sala, author of Cross fire!

I was really sad those days because a big comics/books/manga festival was canceled ....it was only 1hour away from home and I liked it a lot but....
I had a great surprise today!
There was a book festival this week end in a little village 2 min from home: the program said there was a manga author invited so I was curious and decided to check it!

There were books sellers everywhere, it was really good! I bought the book 1 of CLOVER by Clamp at  EURO!!!
the surprise was a French manga author named SHONG: I knew his art but had never met him before. He makes shonen, mostly with photoshop:

I had 2 dedicaces!!

here are some scans, some drawings I got at that festival
first, a French manga author I discovered: Zerriouh! His manga is called Kenro. It's a wonderfuil sci fi manga taking place in France, in the years 2048. The art is close to Saint Seya, the pages are dynamic, the scenario really good.
Here is the drawing he made for me!
!

I really hope this manga will be translated in English so you can all discover it.
here is the link to his site!
http://www.zerriouh.com

(book is edited by  les Humanoides associes. All pictures are properties of their owners)
another dedicace: the book Nanami, drawn by Nauriel and written by Melanie Sarn.

the wonderful authors are really gentle: it's the first project of Nauriel, who just come out of the arts school. I was really impressed by her talent and her art.

(book is edited by  Dargaud. Pics are properties of their authors)
now, Le Malvoulant, dramn by Paul Marcel!

the art is impressive: all with photoshop but it looks like a victorian paint!
