Dunno if I can still post here, but I might as well.
Personally, for me, it depends. I like writing on paper when it's something like character designs and backgrounds and all that, but I like typing more for my stories.
The only exception is my main project, which I started in a book; for me, at the time it was about getting the idea out, and for me I think it's more convenient, since the books I use are really easy to take around, and I can jot any ideas down at any time. That's generally harder to do with laptops and such. I'm in the process of transferring from the books onto my laptop, but I still use the books for the above reasons.
The editing problem isn't too much of an issue for me. To me, the important thing is to get the ideas down before you lose them. Once I type it up, I can then look at what I've written, see what can be improved or changed, and change that.
So I think they're both good, in their own ways.
