I've come to realize that printing my scripts and marking them with pen is very helpful to my revision process.

Seriously? I guess nothing beats writing by hand in hte end. It's not practical for me right now since i have no printer, but maybe for more finalized drafts i'll print my works out.

I prefer typing. Often times when writing by hand it takes longer, which means more time for my mind to get distracted. So my story may change pace faster than I wanted it to initially. For typing, its faster and I gain momentum. It also doesn't take much stamina for me because I use my wrist less.

the only problem you huge problem you encounter when writing is when you are using pen and are not sure when you mess up what to do

Writing.
In a special notebook especially meant for stories, or else I won't feel the importance of the story even though it's the first draft. And with a pencil. I have an occasional habit of writing every other word because my brain won't slow down.

I type some on the computer. But most of the time it's staring at the screen re-reading what I've come up with so far, and I feel like I'm wasting energy while hogging the comp from others who want to use it, hehe. (And in the winter, my feet get stark cold and numb)
No one is perfect . . . that's why there's erasers and extra paper.

I love to write it but my arthritis makes that difficult though I still have a tendency to buy brand new lined paper just to look at it. Typing isn't my favorite because my dyslexia reacts badly but I do enjoy how easy it is to read once I have made all my corrections and I find that I can write for longer amounts of times.

Haha, I thought it was only me who loves the look of new paper. It's addictive in its own way

Oh gosh it is. Sometimes I feel like it is such a waste to write on it. My handwriting is far too ugly to do it justice.

I think my addiction to paper came from the fact that when I was a kid I though pencils and pens were magic because when you wrote with them the things in your head just seemed to appear out of thin air lol

Just noticed some differences in my writing that relates to this topic.

So, I decided to try writing the first chapter of my MR character's backstory on paper to see how it would turn out. I ended up not finishing but I noticed some things about myself while I was writing.

I noticed that when i'm in the middle of writing a sentence, I sometimes stop because I see a word that isn't spelled write or it looks sloppy. So, I end up erasing and re-writing words a lot, which really kills my momentum when I'm writing.

I also noticed that sometimes I would go back and erase a sentence I wrote earlier in a paragraph because I think it no longer fits in. So, I would go and erase that and wind up writing a new sentence in place of that one. The issue with that is since I'm handwriting, I have to make sure that whatever new sentence I'm writing has to fit in that same space or else my paragraph would look really messy. Guess how many times that happened...

So, when it comes to writing stories, I'm 100% typing from now on. Of course, I'll only handwrite when I'm doing a writing exercise in one of my classes. And Journaling. I think handwriting is best for Journal entries. Not sure why, but it just has that certain feel to it I guess.
Messatsu...

Haha true. I'm surprised you have the eye to go back through your work and be tempted to edit though. I always depend on the red line of dissaproval for those kinds of things. I haven't written on paper in a while. I may try it out to see what it's like these days.

Yeah, when my blackberry was alive i wrote in it as well. Smartphones are more useful than I thought. I had the wrong impression since most of my friends were only facebooking and whatsapping and stuff.

I keep a notebook that I write stories (the first few paragraphs) then I continue on other sheets of paper and lose them  :push:
