There is that nebulous canonisity, yeah. But at this point I feel it's so worked into other things that it has to matter.

Ah well, I'll do something that validates it and invalidates it all at once.

Do you remember the Retcon Forest? I just stumbled onto it while doing homework and I thought it may offer a solution. Dystop was referred to within it as well.

I do recall it. I also recall it disappeared from the DOTS thread? It could be useful.

Honestly, more and more I think that the proper way to do it is have DOTS wrap up with everyone getting spit back to the moment before we first hit the remote. Memories intact, but otherwise unmolested by the time we spent influenced by the thing.

Of course, that would involve actually putting a cap on the thing.

Honestly though, the one we started a few months back would probably serve as a solid base if we wanted it to.

It's funny cause I remember taking a glance at the Retcon forest piece back when Dots was really active. And then years later, after finally deciding to tear through DOTS in one read, I couldn't find the damn thing. Good to know you still got it saved after all these years.

And yeah, I think that arc we had going would be a great place to start. I still got so many ideas for that damn thing too. Once my other obligations are fulfilled, I'm going to be giving DOTS some more attention again.

But DOTS ending would kinda suck though. Then again, all great things come to an end eventually.

*Tears up from memories of Mortal Combat*
Messatsu...

I think, more than anything, is that it's lived its natural life at this point. We had some good times, but it needs a send off. There should be an end to all things, no matter how sweet they were in life.

Of course, there's nothing saying we can't ressurect the concept if we so desire.

Amen to that. I only enjoy things especially because they end anyways.

Mortal Combat still had some days in it but it's conclusion turned out to be very important to being canonized in one form or another.

Ah man, I have got to share this story, because I was on an absolute trip last night.

So this was a dream, right? Let's get that out of the way. But I'll skip the regular dream retelling nonsense that usually comes along with this kind of thing, because only part of it is important.

Basically, this was a dream that was set in canon MR. A small time metal band was doing a gig in a park, and I had let them borrow my car to help move equipment. Post gig I let take the car to get their equipment home, but they next morning my car is still missing. I figure they must still have it, which I still figure is fine, but I suddenly realize I don't know how to get ahold of them.

So I rush out to the site of the concert, and I find a note. Saying that the car can be found by going to @whatever (just some Twitter handle basically). Of course now dream me and real me are a little too close together, because now I'm pissed because "that's not a real address I can just go to!" Thinking it should have been like a real world physical street address.

So then I wake up, and immediately realize how much sense it actually made for them to just leave their Twitter handle, because in the logic of MR canon, a Twitter page would be a real place that you could physically be!

Sometimes I think we're all actually geniuses for coming up with this thing.

Like a dream come true, eh, mate?

Anyway, glad that whole hot mess was figured out. That will certainly help with Reset, which canonically takes place a lil before the Invasion hooplah, given my most recent addition to that tidbit. I still haven't actually utilized the thing I'm referencing... HUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUE.

Honestly between Reset, LAS:FC, and Quest!, I feel like we're slowly and retroactively filling in a lost chunk of the timeline. I don't think it's ever been the case where we jump so solidly ahead without finishing what had been started before (at least without having abandoned it first)
