Being a pro only means paying some sort of bill with money you earned
true true. I always mean it as in super-skilled but I know what you mean.
I used to be a cleaner and I enjoyed the mindless work quite well actually :)
But seriously dude your commissions that were done for free are already stuff people would pay for. Don't rule out getting started now as a pro
thanks a bunch (gotta finish those requests tho), I keep telling myself I'll get around to getting paid but I'm not money oriented so I keep iterating between gaining skill and gaining confidence, and not doing anything with either haha.
I will definitely aim to go semi pro next year for sure, at whatever level I'm at. I do sort of feel confident but I also always feel that I'm on the verge of improving to the next level, so I always prioritize progress ahead of producing top quality work. That's also partly why I sort of stopped doing the requests as well. >_<
have some quickly finished old WIPs
After making a program to quickly crop images and sections, I made the opposite - a program to join all the cropped bits back together into a "WIP page" image, with multiple sketches on a page. it totally helps my workflow working in bulk. at some point, i'll colour a whole bunch of the nicer ones hopefully.
4 down, 3868 remaining.....
I'm also probably going to reduce my time on MR as well, so posting less or maybe weekly instead of checking all the time for new stuff, which does take up a bunch of time in itself as well. I'll be active on my own threads, because they're mine :P
I'll also probably be commenting in less detail, fewer threads and so on as well.
