Guidelines, guidelines... Gotta start employing that into my art myself soon. Nice sketches suuper!

@keanfox thanks for your critique. I am very aware of the 3/4 foreshortening, but for the style I use at the moment, I generally avoid it or don't do it as much as i think is "realistic". Will probably regret with due time :P

@daisetsu thanks its just like gym work, gotta keep it regular :P you too man, go for gold :P

@fro yup they help, but only if you know what you are doing, like you dont need to draw a whole cube-cube-sphere-cube for every limb of a body, just a bit of a curve, or a bit of a line, to keep your "drawing lines" in check. even a circle for a face isnt too necessary, just 4 dots or dashes would probably suffice at the compass points (would probably be more accurate too if you cant draw circles like me), but only if it works for you individually. that's why every artist's tutorial has different guidelines rules for drawing hands, figures, etc. even a 5x5 square grid that you put over the image you are copying is a guideline, and that doesnt change at all from image to image :P but it sure helps!

uuhhhhh what did I mean again?
I assume you meant something like "the far eye will be smaller" when you meant foreshortening, but I prefer it to be a similar size regardless, I just do :P I do squash widthwise a lot, but not heightwise, so I don't know if thats what you meant or not.

Melloriiiines. Love the movement on second from left. The head busts of the gal are good too. I can track the movement and everything's in the right places. You sir know how to treat proportion-sama. Proportion-sama can be a cruel mistress

proportion-sama is a complex multi-faceted individual :P

basically the trick to art is to draw everything right :P

@walterB thanks! my favourites are the right three on the top row :P

latest from today, probably all i will do today:
Mondays are now my art days, so hopefully this will become a major-update-on-Monday thread.
I included the gesture drawings since that was most of the output today.

Spoiler

and the best ones again full size.
all Megumin drawn from complete memory so reference mistakes will probably abound.

Spoiler
very happy with this one, I was worried for a while I would never be able to draw anything decent again :P

Edit with the rest of today:
I managed to get a bunch more done than I expected :)

Spoiler

They really need a tearing smile emote.
:') Makes me a happy man seeing another fellow artist get their drills/practice done. As monotonous as it can be it's incredibly rewarding if done properly.

On wards and upwards pal x
