I have extremly bad luck with tablets... I had two already and both of them are broken. The first one broke within a year. The tablet itself works fine, there's something wrong the pen. I wanted to buy a new pen but I can't see to find a place where I can purchase it. ;__; I guess they don't make this model anymore or something. And my second tablet just doesn't respond when plugged to the computer. I don't think I'm buying a tablet ever again. I'll stick to my markers and coloured pencils, I guess...

What brands were the tablets? It might be repetitive around here but we all recommend Wacom tablets for quality and durability. If it was a wacom tablet, you can buy another pen online easily. You just have to make sure the new pen matches your tablet because different Wacom tablets use different technology.

@Sai
Yeah, if they were Wacoms, they would probably endure more. But I at the time I couldn't afford a Wacom and bought a Pentagram. The second one was a Pentagram too. The second one, more over, was a second-hand one so... I guess I should've been prepared for the fact it will break very soon.

What operating system are you using?
A lot of hardwares require to manually download their newest drivers from the internet, especially if you're using windows 7.

Windows XP. I've always been using it and the tablet worked just fine. One day I plugged it to the computer and it just didn't work...

I had the same problem with my first pentablet, a Trust one. It broke within some months. Since it I only use Wacom pentablets.

You can find wacom for cheap, especially bamboo ones or bamboo pen in amazon or ebay now. You can also take part in our tornament to win a wacom pen tablet!

i bought the cheapest one that i could find off ebay as my first one, just to see if i would like using tablets. i paid like £17 and the quality was pretty amazing for the price.
i would suggest if you haven't used one before to get a cheap one or borrow someone else's to make sure that you will be OK with it :P

Never heard of the brand, but if it's reliable then your okay.

I wanted a Bamboo Fun. Those things were reasonably cheap and appealed to my high-tech tastes, but my dad bought me a down to earth, durability over design AIPTEK graphic tablet... More expensive but i really appreciate it by a million miles.
