Pen Tablets
« on: December 08, 2010, 05:48:05 PM »
I think it's about time I invested in a pen tablet. I tried to look at a retail store next to my house and found 3 "genius" tabs ranging from $140 to $350.
My questions for you my friends :
what to look for, when investing in a tablet?
what are the best brands out there?
is it me or full metal alchemist kicks ass?

(you can ignore the last question)

Thank you guys, your replies are much appreciated. :)

Don't really know much about buying tablets but there's of course the most obvious things you've got to clear with yourself. That is the size, and the extra stuff... Bamboo is one brand, but I can't remember the other one... Linux or something

Personally. the bamboo is a decent one to invest in :)

I got the Bamboo Fun P&T (Pen and touch) tablet.

ITs at the size of an a4 paper and has the touch ability to resize, zoom in, zoom out, scroll ect ect.

with time you get to use it pretty well.

I have a question to all Wacom pentablets users.

I want to replace my broken wacom bamboo fun and I wonder if the wacom bamboo pen is a good choice.
Here is the advertising:

147 x 92 mm
RĂ©solution   2 540 lpi
512 pressure levels
price: 46 euros with 2 years warrant.

Is this tablet a good choice?

If it's a wacom product...Its good, there are no exemptions.
Rest assured that it will be a quality product.

What is the difference between a bamboo pen and touch and a bamboo pen?

What is the "touch" option, is it useful for drawing?

Thanks for your advice!

I just bought online the bamboo pen: it's national promotions discounts here: instead of 60 euros, it was 46 euros. I added a promo code and I got 10 euros of discount...price went from 60 to 36 euros! a a a

Sorry for being super late but the "touch" part of the Pen and Touch is so that you can pretty much use your fingers as a mouse and do things that usually only touch screen monitors can do.
I'm back~~~

Yeah, it's like an iPad but with a different screen, and Windows style. I figured this recently as well.
