FlowerTings, Art and Stuff
« on: March 14, 2017, 02:33:03 AM »
So, I fiiiiiiiiinally got a sketch done, which I wanted to do since I joined, but there was a lot of studying and working and laziness. Terrible life tings. Now that it's here, I'm hoping I can get some feedback on my art to improve. I don't mind how harsh it is  ;D

Legs are a little short. Shading looks a little messy and hastily done. Otherwise. Well done.

Legs are definitely too short. The same goes for arms.
I'd recommend training with a 3D model of a human figure. This will help you to get the proportions right. The most important thing is to understand that a human body has a lot of geometric shapes and sizes. Try to imagine a human body as a compilation of geometric figures and draw a pose by using them. At first it won't be easy but later you'll get used to it.
Nicely done with the head and face.

Keep up the good work :).

It's like the others say, your proportions need work. You're also suffering from having one eye distinctly larger than the other. Perspective is one thing, but that's not going to apply at this angle for eyes so much.

It's always good to remember your basics. Anatomy is key, and just because an art book or tutorial doesn't concentrate on the style specifically, it doesn't mean there aren't a lot of points in common.

Keep up the work! Improve through iteration!
