Thanks Karrupin and corycaly :-)

This is a technique I'm gonna work on a bit more. It *is* fun to do, though

Here's another finished work... it was for a contest on another website... the theme was to put an american comic character from Marvel or DC into a Star Wars setting.  The character is Stargirl from the JSA comic.

Here's a closeup of her face

Thanks. I'm still working on it a bit.

The rules said you couldn't use any actual Star Wars characters :-)  I wanted to have her foot propped up on Darth's helmet :-)

I've done some more work on it.  And yeah, the light saber bothers me, too... honestly, it's like that because I ran out of space :-)  I'll have to do something about it, though

Great ! really cool , like you said light saber has a lil prb. It would had been better if you had positioned it in different angle.

I fixed it, now. I made the saber a bit longer, but the real problem was the top edge of the handle wasn't in perspective with the bottom edge... so, it looked crooked. Such a seeminly minor thing, but it was throwing everything off.

thanks for the feedback, Tsen... it helped a lot. Sometimes we can look at something for hours and not see the problems until someone else points them out.

Indeed its better. I have felt something strange about the drawing since i saw it for first time. Just now i realized its coz girl holding the saber while sitting on rock. Did you had planed it that way before start drawing or ?

Yeah, the drawing had to be in the Star Wars world, so I put her in the desert. And I didn't want her just standing and posing, so I had her sitting on a rock (since there would be no chairs in the desert :-)

It was all sketched out on paper before starting on computer.

Here's a pic of the original pencil sketch (kind of hard to see, I just took a picture of it with a camera)
