Yasmin Ra's Artwork
« on: November 10, 2012, 04:58:03 AM »
Hello people. I am a newbie here on this website. Deviantart is really slow on feedback so I figured I can get some quick opinions on my art. Here are a few samples.  ;)

Thanks,

Yasmin

Hey, why don't you introduce yourself to us first here http://forums.mangaraiders.com/index.php/board,4.0.html

as for now all i can say is that while they have promise it feels like they're in limbo between trying to look digital and traditional, it's almost acid-esque to me, but you have a good sense of colour or composition i think (not really sure which.)

liked the second drawing best

Well you are down the right path. I suggest you to spend bit more time focusing on Limbs. Hands, arms, legs need more work.  Keep drawing and posting :)

Check our Drawing workshops and take part if those interest you. Those will help you too.

I would advise you to stick to traditional drawing right now with pencils, avoiding any digital manipulation. Digital won't make you any better and will only mask your inabilities. You are lacking in the fundamentals and basics of drawing, no doubt. If you are serious about this, then learn how to draw with tutorials(or books) and sites like drawspace.com.
