What is the Mangaraiders anthology?

I've seen your works. They are pro-level.
You already know what needs to be done.
You're probably better than me but I'm pretty pro too.

Actually 20 pages is the max. You can just make 5 page comic and submit that to anthology. It shouldn't be hard at all.

It would be nice if we could get enough members.
I want to but I also understand that it's unlikely. You'd have to have a set standard for direction (right to left or left to right so that we don't have them going every which way). Also if there are any color pages. You could ask for 'filler' illustrations. For between comics.

If we ever do get enough members we might be able to use the "Storyboard/Genre challenge" to help members get a kickoff and put all the finished versions in (I can dream).

Honestly I kind of want to take more use of the MangaRaider DA page and use it for promotion for the forums, but if we do that we run the risk of spammers and large amounts of advertisers that don't read forum rules.

I really would like to bring this back, but it will definitely take some work.

I have a recommendation though. How about we have both comics and illustrations in the anthology? Perhaps the first half could be comics, and the other half could be stand-alone illustrations. I think this would help get more members to participate, because not all artists can write or can find writers to work with, so it'd be better for them to just create a stand-alone illustration.

@darlingGrim: I agree, I think we need to take advantage of the DA page and all social media more.

I've not read all the information yet, but this sounds like fun!
I'd love to do a few pictures (but not too often)
Best way to improve is not to practice.....it's to jump head first into it!

I'm waiting to see how many interested. Also if this gonna happen this time it will happen in different way.

About putting Artists and writers projects together, We tried that and it didn't work great. That's one reason why we started writers anthology separate.

I'm interested! I'll probably use the 10 pg Magical themed story for mine. Although I'll need to know if it's meant to be read left to right or right to left. Since I'm still storyboarding it's easy to change directions.

the first ones were left to right. so i imagine we'll keep that trend. much harder to get a book published backwards

I think we accepted Illustrations for first vol but the decided to stop because it's not the purpose of Anthology. We wanted members to get hands on experience about how do you get your comics published properly.  Formatting and creating pages covers the big part of whole process.

Is the paper size and resolution still the same? 300 dpi A5?

dpi is same but I have to check about paper size. Since we might have to use Indyplanet again or other new printer.
