Never made an animation. Seems like a lot of fun! Any good Paint Animation tutorials you know of? Maybe we will have a mangaraiders movie one day  ;)

I'll link when I'm at my workstation next. But yeah it's unsurprisingly easy. You just gotta believe your eyes will be tricked by the movement and the animations will look OK.

And yeh. Anime coming soon to a theatre near you. Where are my voice actors at.

ridiculously awesome animations you've got there, can't wait to see the finished fight. how long has it taken so far?
and yes no matter how long it takes, an anime will be made by one or more of us here, I am sure of it.

Impossible to say. I wasn't motivated and I worked on it after abandoning it for a while. For the latest clash though 2 hours. I need to record longer. For the first one 1 hour.

@Walter Here is a tut that inspired me, and a YouTube channel too. You need to check it out. It's the reason I've decided to go ahead and animate.

Pretty cool! How many images are those? I must confess I don't know much about animation. I have read about the 24 images per second rule but that seems like way too many.

I used to make animations the traditional way when I was a kid. Sketching on paper stacks or on the bottom part of my school notebooks. I drew them when I was bored at school and showed them to my friends. Those were fun times. I remember some of them:

-A skater guy on ramp that did some skate tricks.
-A parody of the simpsons "Itchy and Scratchy". Some guy who always killed the other one in bloody and violent ways.
-A guy in saggy pants who fought some shape shifting monster.

I shall pick up animation again sometime

Cool animation Lego! I don't know where you're going to take it, but good luck! (Protip, get liberal with the size of the shield orbs. Variety is the spice of shield orbs life)

Oh yeah for sure. The next 3.7 seconds are going to be annoying to animate but I look forward to the bigger and better things to animate.

@Walter I've loved animation for age too. From flip books till Pivot. If you can find any of them I'd love to see them.

Anyways this animation is 32 drawings (I say that on purpose instead of frames to give you an idea of how it works)

I'll record my next process to give you a better idea. But really Walter you can pull of great animations it's almost scary how the human eye and mind see movement even I was happy with how my crappy animation turned out.

(the girl one was 5 frames)

Jeez, animation is a lot of work. I feel like the only way I'd be able to do it is if I only did wireframe figures and only the keyframes.

But, if you need voice actors, you know I'm always around, lol.

Sweeeeeet animations! I get what you mean by it being scary. Draw one thing - then another thing - and then it moves:ohmy:
Neat work. I like the effect the action lines give.
No one is perfect . . . that's why there's erasers and extra paper.
