Yeah spreading myself thin is a serious problem. Glad to have cracked 270/1000 for hands, though. Making progress.

Epic progress on the hands!
Maybe try drawing some from memory as well as copying? That way you learn what you can't remember and then you can check again the details on your own hand :D
keep it up.
these regimes are definitely useful, I'm sure. I think its an "easy" way of gaining experience in different subjects without pressure to produce a final piece or anything at the end of it.

Yeah making my own hands did the trick, along with using the grid-system again. It's just so much more practical, especially when my energy waves because with this I've got one batch of 100 done during one session. The other method only works if I am reliable enough to constantly be doing hands throughout my day but since transit has fallen out of favour I don't have that much time for that anymore.

Totally hated this session but felt something rustling and shaking in my head towards the end. Will see how it goes.

I like the one that has the energy bloom effect going on. The big swirly fingerprints are also really fun!

I love that you've added speech to some and special effects as well. That's something I just can't manage with my regimes, I have to stick to my stiff structure all the time :P

But epic work generating so many sketches with a grid, I'm using grids for almost everything now because it really helps to keep the pace going and have a high output.

Nice to see props too, since hands most of the time in a manga are doing something other than fancy posing, they're holding things, it's very good practice.

I nearly misread that as 10,000 hands you were aiming for and got quite competitive for a split second ahahaha

I definitely want to add more props in the future, but grids are here to stay. Heck, even analogue I'll try to at least divvy up my paper with grids, because the blank canvas is just a bit too free and I need the structure and feel of slowly making progress to be able to stick to it haha.

Adding speech and special effects is my way to stave off the boredom. I wish I could stick to it and just carefully study how the hand moves in space but I gotta add something to make them feel more alive haha.

This session was a tough one. Had some good moments but ugh, still not in the zone.

And you better believe 10,000 will happen some time. I just gotta get the cars, the shoes and the mannequins done first and after that I'm game hehe.

Well, hands do more than fancy posing as long as we're not talking about Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. It's not out of the realm of possibility that the artist just hates drawing people holding things, lol.

Oh yeah Jojo poses be crazy bahahaha

770/1000

I'll deal with the annoying not-round number later. For now I don't want to jinx my motivation and am shocked at how well this grid thing is working out. It's still not smooth, but every time I'm done with a sessions I have 100 hands and that's very, very practical. Heck yes.

for non-round regimes I just do a full grid until I pass the target, if anything it's better that you end up drawing 1070 hands because that's more practice in the long run = more improvement :P

most of my regimes went over by 50 or so :D

Looks like you're trying out a different drawing style to the previous grid(s), is that deliberate, and does it make a difference?

good work *thumbsup*

I managed to get over the rut because I indeed jinxed myself productivity-wise in other areas of life haha. It's amazing how missing your sleep schedule or letting loose in other stuff kills my regimens and productivity streaks. Gotta watch out for that.

I'm trying out different styles to see what works for me. I think I'm going to develop a watered down version of hands and not like the ones I was doing when I first started drawing hands. It lets me construct things itself and feels a lot mroe intuititive.

This was a good run in terms of feeling. Felt like I almost finished things too fast.

Hands pulled backwards are a tricky pose though. And I totally want to draw feet.

Wooot thank you grid system! I've officially finished 1,000 Hands, and in record time in comparision to my last time drawing hands. Making them from memory definitely helped, but I think streamlining my process is what gave me the boost that I needed.

I don't have an exact comparision about how long this took, but in terms of net time I definitely got here faster than last time.

I definitely need to constructing them myself, as nice for training my eye as it is to eyeball shoes I have as reference it's taking too much time for me to add my other regimens reasonably. Been interesting though
