There'll be tough times for sure, I've been having it rough a lot lately as well. It's only because I have so much free time that I'm barely holding it together with productivity.
But good to see you're cracking forward. The 10000 project is nearly finished!

Double layering was a bit of a misnomer. I meant 'double lining'. I've noticed how lines are not singular regardless of the context. I noticed it especially on the pipes haha.
Ahhh you mean how like there are always parallel lines on stuff, like on the edges of clothing and so on? It certainly adds a level of realism and it's an easy "cheat" for getting more details :P

That large one in the middle really highlights something interesting that I have been affected by on occasions - that even the space available to draw can affect how a concept works out - because there was little space left underneath, the other stickman had to crouch down, something that you might not have done if there was plenty of space to draw. It's a strange sort of abstract inspiration methinks.

My favourite pages are ironically not this efficient grid-line version but the canvases where I just doodle around. It feels so much more intuitive. Funny enough even comic panels feel restrictive in that way. I wish I had the feeling of a painter when working on my sequential art. That'd be the perfect flow.

Same thing for writing: Ideally I wish I could start from any scene, add here and there, stitch that all together and come up with a relatively comprehensive work.

yup that's some wishful thinking right there.
very similar to my ideal concept generation, sort of. I'm working with using different styles of prompt to gain inspiration, and working from a single part (i.e. design a hat/jewellery first, then the character after).

writing a story is different to art, but I'm starting to see similarities, especially in the form of flavour text, which is just a fancy term for a text greeble. So I'm trying to work with the layers of a plot and character building, levels of ideas and greebling ideas etc. It's very hard at the moment but I have a sort of an idea for a vague plan.

Yeah I'm still working on that one.

Bad batch. Not feeling the flow in this one. I think I need to try another type of stick figure somehow

And with that, after starting in june of last year I have officially drawn 10,000 stick figures.

Integral to the epiphany that I've learnt of this is to just say 'woot' and carry on. Drawing must be done.

(super relieved that this is off my docket though haha. Totally lost steam at the end)

That's a lot of stick figures! It's interesting now that they're all one whole to see the moods you were in pass by.

That being said: Giant posts like this are the reason we have spoiler tags Lego! I can't even see my scroll bar on mobile!

I was basically sitting waiting for a whole minute while it loaded..........your thread needs a data warning! It's literally 300MB just to load it all lol
I can't even scroll it all properly without the screen lagging haha

what can I say.........
CONGRATULATIONS AND WELL DONE!!!!!
so ridiculously awesome to see it all together and such a massively huge sketch count. Truly a testament to your epic ability to put in massive time and effort to your art and projects.

just over a year to finish? that's an average 20 sketches every single day. Not bad considering you've been doing other stuff as well.
a minute a sketch equals 7 days of constant drawing. Truly epic.

definitely can see the different phases you went though and style shifts and focuses
I think your best moment was shifting to a grid setup (of course I would say that XD) and also fitting more sketches on each page. I think it helped improve your productivity.

As inspiring as it is I don't think I'll be doing any 10000x regime any time soon haha.

Seriously can't say well done enough, you set a mad target and pushed through to see the end.
Simple? Perhaps. Easy? Not at all!

Do you have any plans for your next big thing, another regime or project?
