anyways, it sounds cool but dont you need a source of the particle types you would use to recreate the objects? im pretty sure you cant create matter in that show... i know the gloves have thsoe types, but it wouldnt be a sufficient source i think...

Well, I was thinking about stealing the object itself's molecules, making both the real and recreated item less dense, but still working. But I thought that was too far fetched. But now you say it, maybe it's better this way.

hmm i wonder if an alchemest could alter the material of an object by adding and removing neutrons and electrons... or would he end up in a mushroom could doing that o_o

Well, as the first line of the Anime explains that for anything you get, you have to give something of equal value, I don't think they can create matter. Indeed, ending up in a mushroom would make the show very cool. I wonder how he would 'alchemy' himself out of that, though. Still, I did crack up at Roy's 'Tiny mini skirts' and 'I love dogs' pranks. |

they dont create matter they convert it from something else. also you would need specific elements to create a nuclear blast

Since he is able to understand an object by touching it, I think he should have the ability to break down his surroundings for base molecules and use them to recreate the object with substitute materials. Awesome idea. =)

That's what I needed. Now, to explain you a bit about this.
Alchemy is what many people wanted to do in years past. Although it is considered impossible, in this Anime, we live in a world where it is possible. Alchemy in short: changing a material into something else. But think about all the possibilities you could do with that! Anyway, you might have heard that story about changing lead into gold, right? That's pretty much alchemy.
And erm... In FMA, the main character wants to find the Phylosopher's stone (Anime) to resurrect his mother. And... There's much more to it. There is a war, there are many alchemists in the army, there are these beings called Homonculus, or in plural Homonculi. There are also chimera's and erm... Well, it's complicated. Watch the Anime. Read the Manga? I wish I could.
