So sorry I didn't notice this when you first posted it!

Your art style is very simple, which works well for the characters, but not so much for the backgrounds. It would be good to see some more details in the backgrounds to give a bit more stability to the shot. not necessarily all the time, but on some pages there is no BG despite maybe 6 or so panels.

The story itself is very nice so far, with lots of different personalities, emotions and exchanges between characters.

I think individual panels would be quite small if this was printed out in manga size, so I think you could have some more close-up shots. A lot of the shots results in the characters being a very similar size.

Your panel format is very shoujo style, which can be confusing sometimes to know the panel order, but overall I don't think it affected the story much.

Good use of background effects and patterns to set the mood.

A couple of typos here and there, such as "dident", "your" instead of "you're", etc. I recommend typing your script into a word processing program to use the spell check, and then copy across into your art program.

do you mean issue like chapter or volume? cos there's a lot of pages for a chapter but not many for a volume. Just trying to imagine it as a book :P

Sorry about the typos and grammar errors thats, a common thing with me ^^' One of my flaws but I hope its not too distracting. Lettering is often pretty annoying it itself.

Im glad it was well recived overall anyway :) Its been awhile since I finished a comic so feel good. Chapter/issue, yes. I find most volumes of manga/comics are 3-4 issues combined at the min, sometimes bigger with omnibus issues.

My storys tend to be between 30-50 pages on average it depends I suppose. How the art works out, some pages would be more detialed others more simple. ARists like CLAMP and Arina tanemura are good examples of this especially the former, variety of styles and diffrent genres of stories.

Even with my simple style art seems to take forever but I'm trying harder than I ever think I was. It has gotten easier with certain mateirals, like ipad. WAY easier to sketch digitally(i usedta do paper, thats another made easier), change the sizes and move it aroun, and a lot more easier to manipulat, no huge screen to balance on my lap or clunky wires getting in the way. Procreate is also smooth as a dream, I only use photoshop know for certain brushes and lettering.

definitely the tools we use can help in in our path, I use digital now instead of traditional for the most of my art as well, it definitely makes it faster to work. that and just gaining experience which really helps to make things easier as you move on.

Your consistency for quality has been pretty good on the most part I think.

yeah 30-50 pages is quite large. Chapter length doesnt matter too much as long as you're not producing to a set timescale, some manga have only 3 chapters in a 200 page book so really just getting your story down is the most important thing.

I make typos myself as well, a good way to avoid that is to type your script first in a program that has a spell checking feature, and then copy the correct text and paste it in your comic.

Nice work.

I like to see the works in progress to see different artist's workflows. I see you use different colours to differentiate the different characters/objects while you sketch - that's really interesting. I've done similar in previous works but never as consistently as you have done in those sketch pages.

There did seem to be some weirdness in your images though? Some panels awkwardly repeat when Mr. Otto kool-aid man's his way through the wall(s). Some sort of rendering error?

Yeah a page repeated and in the wrong place? Couldent figure out how to fix it ><

Coah otto is a character I reused from el superbeasto :) I liked the design and way he spoke, distintclty british? Feel free to look up the movie (its an animated feature by Rob Zombie) for full context, hopefully it'll be even funnier imagining the vioce XP

there's a very good range of expression on your characters which makes the comic a lot more enjoyable to read. Their joy or anger, whatever emotion they feel, is plain to see on their face.
