Little Witch Miyako Chan
« on: October 02, 2021, 06:09:57 PM »
Yet another series I've got off the ground :P Im a little nuts really to do so many, BUT, never bored certainyl. Always got something to dip in and out of a result. I think Clamp did similiar, a few things on the go

This story is meant to be like old kids cartoons. "Rupert Bear" "Babar", soft, magical little kids storys set in the magic village of "Charmwood". Enjoy folks

wow starting another story! You're giving me a run for my money with open projects!!!!

a cute main character and judging from the story so far it's a bit slice-of-lifey? hard to tell if there's a serious plot yet since it's only a few pages but it's a pleasant read so far.

how do you find managing multiple stories?it can be hard to balance the time you put into each one I think.

Its a kid friendly story, stuff like Care Bears, Bluey, Babar, MLP, or even some cutsier stuff from Clamp? Like Clamp school detectives. Group of kids going on avendtures and I suppose occasional slice of life, emotional stuff? You can do that in kids shows :) Be nice, its okay to be afriad, stuff like that

Well... Gee how do I answer that. I suppose, Ive always had lots of ideas since I was like 10? A lot I came up with around that time, and a lot of have grown and changed aswell? Which is a good thing :) Gotten smoother and smarter, were probably more naive and silly back then.

Im not even sure I'll have time for them all and some have fallen to the wayside. There are some I defiently wanna do more than others.

Doing so many at I time, i guess its cuz, I dont always know what to draw and I dont feel like theres always time? Sometimes I hate the idea of drawing, I wanna throw my ipad out the window. Like "OHHH this is hell what a stupid thing to do much less try to make a living" ><, but at the same time I wouldent know what to do with myself if I gave up? Sometimes I want to really draw though.

I guess having so many, when I get bored, I can dip in and out? And like it just feels like, try a little of everything. You might not continue but, you gave it a go? Ive already done better than some people I finished like, 3 issues of Minta, and 3 other comics. Most people dont even get that far?

And if I get bored with one project I can shift my focus on another. Kinda works for me keeps me interest up? We all have our own methods. Sometimes I also just wanna draw a bucnh of random poses so, comics are a good one when that mood comes up?

I hope I can do more like some creators, even indepedent ones like Vizie pop can? Just, gotta try and hope, or it definetly wont happen.

ah cool, kid friendly sounds good. that's sort what what my Et Cetera story was meant to be :P

wow having ideas when you were that young? I didn't even think about stories until I was like 20-something :P
but nowadays I can relate to having lots of ideas and wanting to do them all.

Yeah when I draw super cute girls I sort of feel the same way, like is this really what I spent 10 years learning art for? makes me question my choices in life XD

good idea to work on the stories when you feel like it and there's always others when you don't feel like a certain one, I tried that for a bit but sort of shelved all the ideas and eventually started working on random ones just to get something going. We're all different in what motivates us of course :P

yeah you have totally done fantastically so far, definitely near a pro level output for sure. never stop improving though and you'll reach even better heights :P

yeah would be awesome to see you increase your output, I would love to see some of your manga in printed form as well, that would make them look really pro I think :P

Honeslty i think sometimes the wells run dry :P Most ideas I got as a kid when I had a wild imagintion you only have as a kid?

And as frustrating as it sometimes I suppose the urge to draw is natural. As long I got something to draw, even if its just copying?(Thats how most of us I reckon get started, redrawing our fave anime characters and such). Its like breathing? Draw something, anything doesent really matter what

I did do a print once with Minta :) But I like to give my work out for free parlty so theres no complaint of copyright infringement? f I get ideas I wanna run with them, not censor myself. And besides IF people like your stuff sometimes they support you, or you get lucky :) Theres a lot of indepedant creators that do pretty well. Who kows

I've noticed with practice you can improve your imagination to be more abstract again, it just takes practice. Children have a higher limit in their imagination simply because they have very little experience. As adults it is generally quite useful to have limits on our imagination (such as thinking of a business strategy for work etc), or rather our common sense filters out extreme/chaotic ideas before they make it into our consciousness. So it takes some reconditioning to be more randomly creative again, I'm working on that myself now :P

If your work is original then there's no risk of copyright issues of course, but yeah I'm hoping to get lucky with finances on my art because I'm not a marketing person ahahaha

There not always and I worry myself sick over originality else :) And sometimes I use characters that arent PD or use things that arent? For example Im working on a special Araminta issue, but thats gonna be a surprise? And like "Eternal Night", a lot of there teachers are famous monsters that arent public domain yet? Like the have "Morticia Addams" for there art teacher.

Rather draw and create as I like more than anything I suppose, and avoid nerves.

Im so glad to get to this bit :) I have a real soft spot for Chimney. He story was loosely inspired by an old childrens show I watched as a kid "Rosie and Jim." Shes 9 years old, lives with her Grandpa John and her pet cat "Duck", on there boat "The Radgoll".
