Um, I'm basically new here and a bit nervous and excited to meet you all. I'm Frozenaaple, a 15 year old aspiring writer currently on Wattpad.  I became an Otaku about a year ago and since then always dreamt of making my own manga. Unfortunately, becoming an artist takes more effort than imagining yourself in outer space and since I'm a lazy potato who easily gives up on stuff I decided to look for an artist to collaborate with me.

I found MR on Google and decided to check it out but after reading some posts and reviews I realised I still have much  to learn before actually beginning my work with a professional. I'm currently developing a Japanese Shounen plot but since I'm not actually from Japan it's taking longer than I hoped with the names, traditions, cultures, as well as their way of life.

I hope to finish this novel by the time I turn 18 and can't wait to learn from all of you.

Good luck with your novel c: I'm also a writer and I totally agree that imagining things is sooo much easier. But hey, it ain't gonna get itself on the page (unfortunately). Hope you enjoy your stay!

Well if you're looking for help with your work you've come to the right place. There's been many who were set on Shonen stories here (myself included), so hopefully we shall be of some use to you.  :thumbsup:

Welcome and yea Shonen is very interesting. A lot of fun stories can be told in that genre.

I know right? It amazes me how much the genre doesn't limit you to one particular style or idea(apart from the fact that they're long AF).

Welcome to MangaRaiders! It's good that you have a mind to research the actual culture! Most people who start out value style over substance, which doesn't make for good novels, lol. As someone who came to MR in their mid teens after deciding to write a shounen novel, I salute you, and encourage you to keep on your path. I'm writing my third novel now, if that gives you hope!
